Well, after all, it is DWAYNE Medical Center.
(To everybody named Dwayne: I'm sorry, I just can't get over the idea of a hospital named Dwayne.)

So some guy births a child. Impress me - have him breast-feed it.

What soapbox? It is simply my opinion that this will create problems for the feminist movement. It means coming face to face with the fact that a baby is not 'their body'....it's a new human being...not tissue....not a fish....just homo sapien.

According to the
site, he's decided not to, but will bottle feed.

I don't see a mention of wife involved. I wonder if the mother will be able to exercise her 'right to choose' once Mr. Lee starts asking for support?

Just checked the ownership records of genochoice.com and malepregnancy.com, and discovered that their registered to a guy in New York with a P.O. box and no phone numbers (and that the sites are hosted with a $20 a month server farm).
The rythospital.com address is registered to a woman at the same P.O. box, also without phone numbers and at the same hosting company, and the admin email address is @genochoice.com.
This is a hoax. A well executed one, but a hoax nonetheless. There is also the possibility that this may be some kind of "support site" for an upcoming movie or video game (it's been done before).

Oh cut me a break...male pregnancy is THEORETICALLY possible only because WOMEN have sucessfully - and SELDOM at that! - brought ectopic pregnancies to term.
Clyver the Talking Mouse?? "Chat With Clyven Online!" "Challenge your Intelligence with Clyven's!"
Sheesh!!

Besides, I just caught this on the comments page of the website: "Due to heavy volume, the Male Pregnancy message submission page will not be back online until September 15, 2001. Please check back with us then, and we thank you for your patience."
If this were a real site, then this "news" is nearly a year and a half old and the guy's already delivered. Methinks we'd have heard of it elsewhere!

And that umbilical cord would be hooked up where?? To the liver. Abdominal pregnancy occurs rarely in women. The fertilzed egg drifts the wrong way into the abdominal cavity and implants on the liver.

Did any of the offspring of the male pregnancies survive?

Heh, I sent the link to a coworker who immediately fed the name into Google.
It is a hoax created by a performance artist in New York.
