Only because you're afraid to get your feet dirty.

Just like an elf to mess up the freshly painted walls...

They'll probably try to repaint the place pink.

Not true, we just wipe our feet. It doesn't take much effort at all.

Isn't it hard to get all the mud out of those curly toes?

Someone tried to deride me on another thread for being a hobbit holer yesterday... Told them that the conversation back here was more intelligent than anything they could fathom having.

Sometimes a person just needs a break from the news. Many Freepers are wound up so tightly over events it is frightening. Hobbit Hole-ing is great therapy.

OK! From TORN:

TTT Set to break some Records
12/17/02, 4:27 am EST - Calisuri

This comes from our good friend Brandon Gray at BoxOfficeMojo.com:

Industry tracking numbers for 'The Two Towers' are through the roof (as expected). The movie's at an 99% awareness level among the public and over 80% have it as their first choice to see among all movies in release and coming out this weekend. These are 'Harry Potter'-level tracking numbers -- basically as highly rated as a movie can be. The biggest opening ever for an approximately three hour movie was posted by 'Pearl Harbor' on Memorial Day weekend in 2001 -- $59,078,912 at 3,214 theaters. Its tracking levels were nearly as high as 'The Two Towers' -- which bows at around 3,600 theaters -- suggesting that 'The Fellowship of the Ring's $47,211,490 December opening weekend record could very well be in danger.

Take a chance at guessing this week's gross and lear more. [More]
