I'm pleased to hear that most folks seeing TTT are happy with Gollum. He is an important part of the books, and if he came across as "fake" it could ruin the effect of the "history instead of fantasy" angle in the movies.

I liked this review. I like to read about the reviewer's doubts, and disappointments. We shall see very soon if we agree with him.

I liked this review too. It was honest. In the first movie, I admit I was at first disappointed with the changes made - like Arwen instead of Glorfindel. But I have a better understanding of the necessity of the changes. I am more willing to give PJ the benefit of the doubt in TTT. I would rather see this movie with this reviewers honest approach. That said, I haven't read the other threads yet on TTT. Going to go to the next one now. CAN'T WAIT FOR TTT!!!
