for what it is worth you let Greg et al win the last match by playing their game. DO NOT respond to anyone why has new food to bring to the table. If they just want to rechew the fat from the last meal ignore them. If they want the recipe of the dish you are serving offer it to them, if they savor the flavors that you offer smile a little smile and ask them what they would suggest that would offer to make the meal fuller....

But if they come in complaining that the sweet wine you offer is vinigar when you know that the other guests in the room savor it's taste know that the vinigar they taste is not on their palate but in their heart, and in their soul.

Were you just in on the locked thread? Did you see the chief challenging us to verify who he was? He mabe didn't realize that we could google and find things that cast him or his department or his county officials in a bad light. I guess he does not care.

Dave, excellent advice. And, as someone else once wisely pointed out, you can't cure the irrational with the rational. Irrational people will never, ever, understand rational statements. A less flattering saying is, you should never try to teach pigs to sing--it won't work, and you'll only anger the pigs. And then there's the old saw about how arguing with fools makes you and the fools look the same. A lot of different ways of saying the same thing. We don't have an "ignore" button on FR, but we have that option even without one. Let's all try to use it.
