The questions is will Goff's dates be
that different from Faulkner's and Haskell's? Other Entomologist say it seems unlikely. If Goff's dates are that far off, look for massive appeals in SD for convictions based on Faulkner's findings.
Poor Jeffy, it's a no win situation for him. It's bad enough that 2 months in to the trial he still doesn't have a theory. Then it's complicated by expert witnesses like, um, Rodriguez. How much worse can it get? Earth to Mr. Dusek, earth to Mr. Dusek.
"In some instances, there may be factors that serve to delay the onset of insect activity, and these must be considered."
Other contributions include:
1. Determining if the body has been moved following death
2. Assessing wounds in terms of before, during, or after the death took place
3. Individualizing a crime scene
4.Serving as alternate specimens for toxicological analysis
5.Providing DNA materials from the gut contents of parasitic insects
6.Documenting periods of abuse and/or neglect in children or the elderly
7. Supporting or contradicting an alibi
I don't see mummification listed as a cause for delay.
HMMM....
Goff will have to testify that mummification was a factor or Dusek is sunk.
He had Rodriguez disputing Falulkner and Haskell and now he is calling his own bug guy.
ALL RIGHTY THEN!
