This one just caught my fancy today. What struck me about it is that the current Pu'u O'o eruption has been going on now for about 19.5 years, and that this slow, constant volcanism is what built the Hawaiian Islands and the Emperor Seamount chain over millenia. Pretty amazing when you consider the span of time involved.
