Hold on to your hats, people!!

Just getting to the local paper, and Akron may have its OWN tree sitter!!

Yes indeed!

It seems the 150 yr. old white ash about 5 min. from me may be cut down!

Cut down because it's disrupting the sidewalk, and wheelchair access ramps are being installed city-wide...

I go by this fantastic tree several times a week, and may join the woman who says she will tie her self to the tree to stop the ax!! The tree is in front of her property.

I support her!!!

There's a huge difference between protecting a particular tree that has meaning to the community ..... and living in a tree house to protect the forest from mean ol' loggers. And it sounds to me like the only reason that tree is endangered is because of .... ta!da! .... government regulations .....
