Oddly enough, I will be watching at the even slightly more insane time of 2:20 EASTERN TIME! Lets just say there has been a lot of nap planning involved. USA-Portugal was a breeze by comparison.

Actually, more than 1 million people watched. The article says 998,000 households. While single person households have increased over the years, they're still a lot of multi-person households.

Also, I doubt that illegal aliens are Nielsen households, so the actual viewership would have been a bit higher.

Finally, here on the East Coast, the game was on from 5 AM to 7 AM. Turning it on instead of watching the local news repeat the weather and traffic every ten minutes wasn't that difficult. I find soccer generally dull, but for one morning it was something more interesting to watch.
