Prayer Request
Me
Posted on 05/27/2002 6:11:37 PM PDT by NatureGirl
Hi, everyone. Could I have prayers sent for my father-in-law, John? He was operated on this morning, for double by-pass surgery. While they were operating, however, they decided to do a quadruple bypass instead. This is far more extensive than the original surgery, and recovery will probably be longer and more painful.
This is becoming quite stressful for the family, especially for my mother-in-law, and for my husband, who is very close to his dad.
Thank you for listening. I'll post updates over the next couple of weeks.

My prayers are with your father-in-law at this critical time. Also prayers for his family. May God bless you in the way that is most needed at this time. I will be checking back and hope that everything goes well. God Bless.

Prayers sent.
Four is better than two. Think of it as having new plumbing installed.
I am speaking from experience as my husband went through a quad bypass five years ago. The surgeon regretted that he was only able to do four (he wanted to do six) but hubby is doing fine.
Go to www.lef.org and read their recommendations for heart disease - it has done wonders for my husband and now his cardiologist is recommending it to his other patients.

Prayers for John. My father had this done a few years ago, now he could run rings around me. It is stressful, but it will do wonders for his health. May God bless.

Lord, please give Your love and strength to John and his family as he endures this unexpected (to them, not to You) complication. Please fill his and his family's hearts and minds with love and faith for and in You. Please let John come through this well and bless him with a speedy recovery. Thank you for listening to my prayer. In Christ's name, Amen.
My neighbor went through this process about 2 yeatrs ago. He's about 68 and doing well now. Getting stronger every day and his prognosis is great. I trust John will do well also. Is John Saved? If not, hopefully this will buy more time for him to become so. If yes, more time to lead others to Christ through his sufferings...and yours too! Lord be with you!
In Christ,
Mike (griffin)

No worrying allowed! Praying and thinking positive thoughts are better. Of course I have a black belt in worry.....but will be praying for the entire family.
Thank you all for your prayers and kind words.
My father-in-law is a real go go go person - for 75, he keeps himself busy!. He's rebuilt his home, does all sorts of woodworking projects, etc. But he seemed to be slowing down on these things over the past year or so. We're all hoping that he'll feel better than ever, once he's healed.
May God bless you all.
