LOL. I found it posted on another forum, and most of the readers had jump to the conclusion that is was in fact real.
There's got to be some hidden clues, too, in the names in the story.
Isaac Asimov liked wordplay; one of his short stories was called Shah Guido G.
I'd call this a shaggy dog story too, but cats might object...
