My dog is a scaredy-cat (dog?)...sometimes even a leaf blowing in the wind is enough to make her jump back. That said, a mouse got into my house late last fall. She and Tam hunted him down, cornered him and killed him...meanwhile Halvah (the other cat) and I sat on the back of the couch and cheered them on...

Yuck! At least they didn't try to eat it. But she was REALLY happy and excited about the whole hunt. Considering miniature dachshunds (unlike most mini breeds) were actually bred for hunting small game and rodents, I guess it's in her blood.

Yeah - you shouldn't ever have a mouse problem with a doxie (or a terrier) around! RM, what kind of dogs are yours? Mine are pictured on my profile page... The spotted one in the middle is the young hunter. The other two are old and don't care. (16 and 15, respectively).

We had a mini doxie when I was a teenager; (she was also Susie) She used to have a great time trying to get squirrels in our back yard. I once saw her climb halfway up a tree going after one!
