If you ask my opinion, which I note you're not, I'd say that picture of the hobbits and Gollum looking at the Morannon is the final scene of the movie...since we know Shelob is in ROTK.

His voice is so desparate and passionate there it always bring ME to tears, even if I'm just listening to the soundtrack because I know the music for that part of the movie so well.
