Tom Mix style?Yes! Although I've never seen a Tom Mix movie, that's what I had in mind. :)

your appreciation for weapons and hunting and such....
Though I think most guys share this appreciation at some level.
I keep forgetting, but speaking of Christmas, I had an idea that I was going make potato guns for the kids for Christmas.
Hair, does Ramius have good instructions for such things?

I have some green ones for Halloween... I found some icicle lights for Halloween that are dk. purple, green and orange! I love them!
A couple of years ago, after I'd taken down all my Christmas lights, everything looked so bare and drab that I decided I'd leave them up the following year. I'll turn them on some late winter evenings, just to cheer the place up! This year I found some cute dragonfly lights, so I replaced the icicle lights in late spring. The dragonflies are up now with my ivy garland over the back sliding glass door. They'll be replaced this week by my fall leaves garland along with the Halloween lights!

So your house looks like the Griswolds' house at Christmas? Have you seen the Jim Carrey version of "The Grinch?" The holiday decorating contest is hysterical.

Thanks again for your warm and welcoming invitation into The Shire, Hair of the Dog!!
I am a long time Freeper and brand new hobbit-lass looking for my welcome pint and lunch (I've already missed first and second breakfast, I'm afraid).

Yeah, that was great...and I love the music at that part of the movie. Too funny! That movie was doubly funny! I used to work with a guy who was just like Chevy Chase's character.

The company has met up with some guy named Beorn, any relation?Big guy, kinda solitary, turns into a bear every now and then?
Great uncle on my mother's side, I think....

Welcome! I overindulged with pints and such at supper last night so I missed first and second breakfasts along with elevenses. It's getting close to lunchtime and I'm getting hungry!

To: Corin Stormhands
I had one of those last night!

Just one?
To: RMDupree
Hi, and welcome to the Hobbit Hole! Feel free to jump into the conversation... if you wait long enough you're bound to find some topic of interest, we cover most of them eventually. :)
Thanks to time zones, you're never too late for second breakfast! Just starting it here in Texas! :)
To: Corin Stormhands
Didn't make it that far in the movie...sorry! I should maybe rent the DVD at some point just to watch a few scenes, but Jim Carrey drives me up the wall. I started to watch this with some friends...I lasted about ten minutes before walking out of the room.

I don't like all of his stuff, but I loved "The Grinch."
I thought he was great in "The Majestic" also...
To: Overtaxed
So I am not to late for lunch, I see. Marvelous!
Since I am new, I've brought the mushrooms.
Fear not, I did not steal them from Farmer Maggot.
To: RMDupree
Mmmmmmm...mushrooms....
To: Corin Stormhands
Mmmmmmmm.....precious....
To: Corin Stormhands
Thank you, Corin.
Would you like some mushrooms?
To: Corin Stormhands
