are you familiar with the movie "Office Space"? If you've ever lived or worked in Cubicleland, you'll see a lot of familiar things in that movie!

Not familiar with it, but I will look for it. I have lived, eaten, slept, and breathed cubicleworld for the past 11 years or so and I am getting sick of it....

He must've gotten some kind of burr under his dress between now and LoTR.

It was probably the cost of fixing up his Homely House. I heard it was the Last one, and I imagine the neighborhood association was coming down hard on him....

Good to know that we'll never be threatened by trolls here in the Hobbit Hole.

Is that a reference to our sunny personalities or our endless babble? ;-)

"Take no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof"

I've been trying to keep that thought in my mind for the past year, but I'm not always successful at it. Thanks for the reminder!

"Office Space" got an R rating I think, primarily for language... it's sort of like "Dilbert" in how well it parodies the cubicle life. It's scary, I've actually known two people now who were exactly like characters from that movie.

Yeah. No kidding. He's not at all the same as in the books in my opinion... Like Corin says, he needs more fiber...

The company escaped....Gandalf showed back up and helped them, I guess he's not part elf after all.

Oh no! While they were running away Bilbo fell down a tunnel..........what's this? Bilbo found some sort of ring, must just be some worthless trinket......

Since there's no snow here, people put Christmas lights all through their yards, along the edges of lawns, etc. The wife and I love to go driving through some of the neighborhoods just to look at the lights.

Here in MA people, are starting to do huge lawn displays at Christmas. One of our traditions is to take the kids on a drive through town on Christmas night. We love going by houses and laughing at the garish displays. We yell out 'tacky alert' (in our closed car, of course)when we see a particularly egregious one.

A few years ago, a man in town had about 100 different lighted displays in his yard, covering all the bases. He had a Creche, snowmen, Santa, Rudolph and all the reindeer, angels, the Peanuts characters, etc., not to mention the lights hanging from his house and several trees in the yard. When you drove near his street, you thought something was on fire because of the glow from the lights. Two weeks before Christmas we had a HUGE snowstorm that dumped about a foot and a half of snow. That man shoveled almost all of that snow out of his yard over the next week, and his yard looked like it had just gotten a dusting of snow!

Are we the only wakeful residents this morning?

I had to rush off to a meeting. I'm back now...

I didn't think he was, from what I understand Elves aren't big into facial hair.

Bilbo's gotten himself into some sort of trivia/riddle contest with a weird looking sushi lover.

"Take no thought for the morrow, for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof" Matthew 5 or 6

Isn't that near where it says "In my Father's house are many Hobbit Holes?"

Okay, it's a paraphrase, but it sounds kinda nice...

I have a grinder at home, but I'm too busy and/or lazy to get around to doing it there most of the time.

My Mama gave Sir SuziQ a coffee grinder for his birthday one year. Spoiled him rotten! Now we grind the beans at night and set up the pot for auto-on. I just bought a new coffeemaker yesterday as a matter of fact. Our old Mr. Coffee began to be incontinent, so we knew it was going! I got a Cuisinart, 12 cup, programmable that has a water filter built in. The coffee is scrumptious!

We tried doing without coffee, drinking green tea instead; that lasted about 4 days and we realized we just don't like tea in the morning!
