A man was detained by Los Angeles police after pulling a knife during a confrontation inside a Wendy’s restaurant in Northridge on Wednesday.
Video from inside the restaurant shows a man in a baseball hat confronting a couple who were eating a meal.
The man who was eating then stood up and confronted the other man before eventually pulling out a knife in a threatening manner.
“You gonna stab me?” the man in the hat can be heard saying.
The scene then turned even more chaotic as expletives were shouted and chairs were thrown before both men went outside.
A witness said the man in the baseball hat initiated the confrontation.

People are crazy. Don’t interact with strangers.
The lockdowns destroyed society.
Crazier every day.
OK everyone. Admit it. When you read the headline and saw Los Angeles Wendy’s and a knife being pulled, you thought it was a black guy. Just a reminder that middle-aged white guys can be batsh__t crazy too.
I’m on the knife wielders side.
It’s getting so you can’t go out anymore without some crazy person approaching you.
Sounds like cultural appropriation.
Are they trying to act like black women?
“Just a reminder that middle-aged white guys can be batsh__t crazy too”
...I certainly assumed he was not a white guy. I was thinking Muzzie
Every time I’m in LA for work, I see some crazy shit go down in, or around, a fast food joint. It’s not just downtown, it’s also in Anaheim and Orange County.
Just a couple weeks ago, I was in Anaheim, and some tattooed drug addict was beating the crap out of his woman outside a Carl’s Jr.
It started inside, then spilled outside, and some patrons separated the man from the woman. He then ran off.
Problem is when you ignore them, they still want to escalate.
Got to keep the loonies on the path.
Not that driving and the roads are any picnic but this is one of the reasons the drive thru has some advantages.
Fast food joints have become more dangerous that beer joints and gay bars.
Note to the knife wielder: That is a good way to get a knife stuck in your thigh.
