Dr. Urbina describes a disconnect between a person's actual risk and the risk they perceive. He argues that acquisition often reflects zip code and sexual network density rather than number of partners. For a young Black gay man in Harlem, a single encounter carries higher risk. He adds that early messaging tied PrEP to sexual pleasure and protection, which may not resonate with women. Even women with a recent STI frequently decline PrEP when it is offered.

Please understand, I have compassion for those who have become infected, especially for those who were limiting partners, trying to be safe, lied to, etc. But if you had TB you’d be irresponsible to go around spreading it. This is no different.
There are AI developers who LITERALLY say they have taken up smoking to signal their confidence AI will cure cancer.

I don't. It's to the point that a particular infected person has the burden of proof to make the case of how they WERE NOT culpable in contracting the infection before I'll have compassion. I know this includes some wives of secretly homosexual husbands and a few transfusion patients, but these numbers have been declining for decades. And these wives are not militant about treatment and "prevention." They don't make excuses.
The militant homo left has DEMANDED:
- that we pay for their high-risk fun with no cost sharing on their part.
- that we have no business prying into whether they are infected with the disease that we are being forced to fund treatments for.
- that we can't fire, or refuse to hire or promote, someone based on their "HIV status."
- that HIV-infected individuals have the unquestioned right to enlist and serve in the armed forces on parity with any other healthy uninfected service member.
- that they should be able to live their sordid, pathogen-laden, homo-orgy lives and still donate blood to the public supply.
- that they have the right to withhold information about their HIV infection from all sexual partners without facing criminal charges.
- that "HIV stigma" is the greatest crime, not their rank carelessness about spreading their infection to others.
They can all catch a super-bug and die for all I care.

and a method of analysis that isn't just about sex but could be any relationship.
The network is a point-line graph.
Each point is a person. Each line connects two people who are related.
Network density is a measure of interconnectedness.
Getting back to "sexual network density" -- A precise measure of promiscuity, not just population size.
That is a good way to put it.
