Fifteen Insane Democrat Policies That Would End the American Experiment if They Win

They will not say this on a swing-state mailer. They will talk about groceries and “affordability” and holding crooks accountable. Fine. Read the platforms. Read what House Democrats have already promised for Day One if they take the gavel.

Then read what the Democratic Socialists of America put in writing this summer and what their national co-chair confirmed on live television. And to those who think the Democratic Socialists are not the "mainstream" Democrat Party, I would encourage you to pay closer attention. The days of Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries are numbered, and will be effectively over if the Democrats are able to take control of the House and Senate through the efforts of the DSA.

The polite agenda and the radical agenda are not two different parties. They are two speeds of the same wrecking crew.

Woe unto them that decree unrighteous decrees, and that write grievousness which they have prescribed.

If they win the midterms, they get subpoenas, appropriations, and a veto-proof mood. If they later take the White House, they get the pen. Here is what they intend to do with both. I will go into more detail on today's episode of The JD Rucker Show.

1. Replace the Presidency and the Supreme Court With Congress

The DSA’s 2026 “Workers Deserve More” program is not a vibes document. It says, in so many words, replace the President and the Supreme Court with an executive and a judiciary chosen by and subordinate to Congress. That is not reform. That is the end of separated powers.

Fox News reported the update in July. DSA co-chair Megan Romer then sat on Fox News Sunday and answered true when asked whether the group wants to replace the presidency and the Court “as we now know them.” A legislature that hires the judges who review its own statutes is not a republic. It is a committee with a flag.

Mainstream Democrats still talk “court reform” instead of abolition. Hakeem Jeffries has already said the country needs “dramatic Supreme Court reform.” Same destination. Softer brochure.

2. Abolish the Senate and the Electoral College

Same DSA program. Abolish the Senate. Expand the House. Proportional representation. Ranked-choice voting everywhere. Kill the two-party system on purpose. Abolish the Electoral College while they are at it.

The Senate exists so Wyoming is not a rounding error for California. The Electoral College exists so a handful of coastal megacities cannot elect a president by themselves. Socialists call that “undemocratic.” What they mean is they lost the map and they want a new map.

California Democrats already say they support abolishing the Electoral College. Young Democrats of America oppose voter ID. The national party talks about “breaking down barriers” Republicans created. Translation: make it easier to harvest ballots and harder to verify who cast them.

3. Give the Vote to Noncitizens and to People in Prison

DSA wants full voting rights for all permanent U.S. residents and for incarcerated people and people with criminal convictions. That is noncitizen voting plus cell-block suffrage. Several city chapters already push noncitizen voting in local races. Nationalize that habit and citizenship stops meaning anything at the ballot box.

Democrats will swear they only mean “eligible voters.” Watch the bills. Automatic registration, same-day registration, no-fault mail ballots, opposition to ID, and lawsuits against every citizenship check. The SAVE Act is “suppression” in their language. Requiring a voter to prove he is an American is now the controversy.

4. Abolish ICE and Grant Amnesty to Every Illegal Alien

The program is blunt. End ICE detention and deportations. Legalize migration. Grant amnesty for all immigrants regardless of status. End visa caps and quotas. Romer said yes to abolishing ICE and, as a longer-term project, abolishing borders.

House Democrats will not all say “abolish ICE” in a Nebraska diner. They will say mask bans, warrant rules, “sensitive locations,” TPS extensions, and an end to “inhumane” enforcement. James Talarico, running for Senate in Texas, talks about taking ICE money and putting it “back in our communities.” Progressive Democrats polled this summer still favor abolition at stunning rates. The destination is the same open interior the last administration delivered, only this time with a statute instead of a memo.

Call them what they are. Illegal aliens. Amnesty is not compassion. It is a reward for breaking the law and an invitation to the next million.

5. Nationalize the Commanding Heights of the Economy

DSA wants public ownership of the largest corporations and essential industries. Energy. Transit. Housing. In older drafts, finance and insurance. That is not “making the rich pay their fair share.” That is the state taking the companies.

The official Democratic line is a 28 percent corporate rate, a billionaire minimum tax, ending stepped-up basis, closing carried interest, and a wealth tax in all but name. Talarico’s “New American Dream” speech this August promised to repeal tax relief for the top 1 percent and close the “buy, borrow, die” playbook. Fine as campaign poetry. Combined with public ownership on the socialist wing, it is a transfer of the productive economy from owners and workers to planners.

Every country that tried this learned the same lesson. The planners run out of other people’s capital. Then they run out of food, fuel, and patience.

6. A Green New Deal That Phases Out American Energy

Federal jobs guarantee. Massive public investment in publicly owned energy and transit. Phase out fossil fuels. Reclaim the earth’s resources “for all.” That is the DSA Green New Deal in one paragraph.

Democrats will sell it as lower utility bills. They always do. Then they shut pipelines, kneecap permitting, and wonder why the grid groans when the data centers turn on. The last time they ran this experiment, Europe rationed and California begged people not to charge their cars at dinner. American oil and gas is not a moral stain. It is how hospitals stay lit and groceries move.

A phase-out of fossil fuels without a replacement that actually works is not climate policy. It is planned scarcity with a press release.

7. Medicare for All Plus “Gender-Affirming Care” as a Federal Entitlement

Universal healthcare at no cost to individuals, including complete access to reproductive and gender-affirming care. New public hospitals. Free medical school. That is the socialist plank. Talarico’s version is “Medicare for Y’all,” a public option that would still pull the private market into a government price regime.

Jeffries has already named his first two House priorities if Democrats win: reverse Medicaid changes and restore the enhanced ACA tax credits. Those are the on-ramp. Single payer is the off-ramp. Add “gender-affirming care” as a covered right and the federal government becomes the payer of last resort for sterilizing confused teenagers.

Healthcare is not free because a platform says it is. Someone pays. Under this model, that someone is every working household, and the waiting list becomes the rationing tool they will not name.

8. Codify Roe and Erase the Last Limits on Abortion

Democrats.org puts it without blushing. Restore the protections of Roe. Ensure the right to choose for every woman in America. State platforms and candidates go further. Abortion through viability and beyond under the “health” exception that swallowed the rule. No parental consent in the activist version. Taxpayers in the funding fight.

This is not a privacy argument anymore. It is a sacrament. A nation that treats the death of an unborn child as health care will not suddenly recover a high view of the born child, the mother, or the family. The same movement that wants federal abortion on demand wants the state in the nursery, the clinic, and the school counselor’s office.

9. A 32-Hour Workweek at Full Pay

Paid family leave for all. A 32-hour week with full pay and benefits. A living minimum wage. Talarico wants $15 federally and expanded overtime. DSA wants the four-day week as if output were a speech.

Wages come from production. Cut the hours and freeze the pay and you have not created prosperity. You have created a shortage of labor and a surplus of inflation. Small shops cannot absorb it. Hospitals cannot staff it. Farms cannot harvest on a seminar schedule. The people who will write the statute do not pack boxes.

10. Social Housing, Universal Rent Control, and the End of the Landlord

Housing is a human right, they say. Then they prescribe publicly owned social housing, strict regulation of investment properties, universal rent control, and a lawyer for every tenant at public expense. Cancel medical debt while you are at it. Down-payment grants. Freeze rents in every emergency.

Rent control is a museum piece that still manages to shrink supply wherever it is tried. New York and San Francisco are the exhibits. Build more houses by cutting the red tape, and prices fall. Seize the stock, cap the rent, and the next unit never gets built. Young families lose. Party organizers gain a client population that votes.

11. Free College and the Cancellation of Every Student Loan

Free public education from pre-K through college. Cancel all student debt. Room and board on the taxpayer in the fuller versions. Democrats have already spent years trying to erase loans by executive fiat. A House and a later White House would try to finish the job by statute.

The plumber who skipped campus would pay for the activist with a gender-studies note. Universities that hiked tuition because Washington guaranteed the loans would hike again. Debt cancellation without reforming the product is a gift to the credentialed class and a slap to everyone who paid what he owed.

12. Reparations and a Second Reconstruction by Statute

DSA’s “Finish Reconstruction” plank calls for reparations and massive investment targeted by race, plus reinforced anti-discrimination law and treaty politics that treat the United States as an occupying power on its own soil. That is not equal protection. That is a racial spoils system with a history department attached.

Democrats at the national level still hide behind commissions and “equity” budgets. The logic does not stay in a study. Once the state pays by ancestry, every group becomes a claimant and every neighbor becomes a debit. The Gospel does not sort souls that way. The Constitution was not written to.

13. Defund the Police on the Way to Abolishing Prisons

Demilitarize departments. Disempower police unions. Redirect funding to social services as steps toward fully abolishing the police and prison system. End qualified immunity. Treat drugs and mental illness as health only. Romer said abolishing prisons is part of the long-term program.

We already ran a pilot. 2020. The cities that kneecapped their cops got the corpses, the carjackings, and the boarded-up pharmacies. Then they asked the same officers to come back. A country that empties the prisons because the manifesto calls them capitalist cages will not be safer. It will be a place where the strong eat.

14. Defund the War Department and Cut Israel Loose

Defund the Department of War. Close overseas bases. End all foreign wars. End immunity for American war criminals. Free Palestine, with Jerusalem as its capital. End all military and economic aid to Israel. Prosecute U.S. and Israeli leaders for “genocide.” Lift sanctions on Cuba, Venezuela, and Iran.

Jeffries and House Democrats have spent 2026 trying to force an end to operations against Iran and calling the campaign a “reckless war of choice.” They want tariff repeal and a retreat dressed up as constitutionalism. Put that next to the DSA plank and the picture is clear. The faction that treats Tehran as a partner and Jerusalem as a problem is no longer a campus club. It is inside the coalition.

Iran’s missiles and proxies are not a misunderstanding. A superpower that defunds its own military while lecturing the one Jewish state in the region is not pursuing peace. It is advertising weakness to every enemy who can read a platform.

15. Use the First Hundred Days to Investigate, Impeach, and Reverse the Last Two Years

Jeffries has already previewed Day One. Hold the crooks accountable. Oversight. Judiciary. Working groups on housing, healthcare, childcare, groceries, and utilities. Repeal tariffs. Restore ACA credits. Reverse Medicaid changes. End the Iran campaign. Restore Roe. A large share of Democratic voters told pollsters this year that charging Trump administration officials is not just acceptable. It is the tactic they like most.

That is the near-term machine. Subpoena the agencies. Starve the enforcement budgets. Sue in the friendliest circuits. Pack the Court if the votes appear. The socialist constitution comes later. The immediate project is to unwind border enforcement, energy production, and tax policy before the public notices the bill.

What They Call Affordability Is a Transfer of Power

Lower costs is the slogan because voters can feel a grocery receipt. The program behind the slogan is older than the slogan. Take the commanding heights. Dilute the citizen. Disable the referee. Pay people not to produce. Call the result justice.

Some Democrats will object that they are not DSA. True enough on paper. They still need DSA votes, DSA organizers, and DSA energy in New York, California, Michigan, and the activist nonprofits that staff their offices. Talarico can talk about partnering with oil and gas in Texas and still talk about dismantling capitalism when the cameras were younger. The party that cannot vote to condemn socialism without a civil war inside its own conference is not a firewall. It is a on-ramp.

A republic can survive a bad statute. It cannot survive a faction that treats the Constitution as the obstacle. They have written the obstacle list down. Believe them.

I can see this stuff shaping up like the Bolshevik Revolution.

In 1917, the Bolsheviks were a political minority in Russia, but they were ruthless and committed. They killed people in the street. They were after power and they didn’t let laws, morals or social standards get in their way.

The Democrats might try that here — but it will be trickier because Americans own a lot of guns. The rub, though, is that a Democrat may kill a MAGA person in the street and a judge will let them walk, but if a MAGA person defends themself, a judge will jail them and lawyers will destroy the family of the MAGA person.
