A man who was catering a Los Angeles birthday party was left with a bullet fragment lodged behind his eye after a drunk party guest opened fire.
The incident occurred on Sept. 12, as Bryan Trujillo, 25, and his friends were catering a party in Chatsworth. The gathering also included a horse trail ride.
During the party, guests were drinking and Trujillo said he noticed one man had been firing rounds at the ground. Two hours later, the man was seen dancing with a horse who appeared to be in distress.
The man took out his pistol and started shooting at the ground again. Trujillo and a friend were standing about 8 to 10 feet away when a bullet bounced off the ground and struck Trujillo in the eye.
...
“There was this guy who had too much to drink and decided to pull out his pistol, pop off a couple rounds and one of them found me,” he said. “He shot towards the ground and it ricocheted.”
Trujillo went to a doctor who confirmed that he had a bullet fragment lodged behind his eye. The fragment is sitting about one centimeter from his brain.
“It’s between the eye and the brain, but it’s on the optic nerve,” he explained.
Trujillo said some doctors are wary about removing the bullet piece due to concerns over its precarious location.
“There have been mixed opinions — some say the bullet might stay in, while others say there is a chance they can pull it out,” Trujillo said. “It really depends on who I’m talking to. Everyone has told me to rest and wait until the inflammation and swelling goes down before they decide anything.”

Horse bullet drunk whisperer.
Lord, please look after Bryan Trujillo, 25. He’s working hard, catering a party, and this horrible thing happened to him.
No mention of an arrest, so I’m guessing whoever it was has plenty of pull.
Guns and booze NOT a good mix.
“”Two hours later, the man was seen dancing with a horse who appeared to be in distress. “”
Dancing with a horse?????? Who was in distress - the man or the horse?
Bet it wasn’t a Irish party?.
MOST THE CHATSWORTH STABLES HAVE RETIRED.
ANY IDEA EXACTLY WHERE THIS WAS????///
FTA:
“Trujillo said he NOTICED one man had been firing rounds at the ground.”
.
He could have looked the other way...
Dancing with a horse you say…
A little drunk you say…
As my pa always said,” alcohol and gunpowder don’t mix”.
