Former CIA Director John Brennan Subpoenaed in DOJ Trump-Russia Investigation

Former CIA Director John Brennan has been ordered to testify before a federal grand jury in Florida as the Justice Department expands an investigation into the government’s handling of investigations involving President Donald Trump.

A subpoena requires Brennan to appear Oct. 15 before a grand jury in Fort Pierce, according to a court filing disclosed by his attorney. The Justice Department is examining allegations that intelligence and law enforcement officials improperly targeted Trump during investigations involving Russian interference in the 2016 election and other matters.

Brennan has denied wrongdoing and accused the Justice Department of pursuing him for political reasons. His attorneys are seeking preservation of government records connected to the investigation.

The subpoena was signed Sept. 9 by former Justice Department prosecutor Joe diGenova, who resigned from the investigation the following day.

DiGenova subsequently said investigators have evidence supporting potential prosecutions but cautioned against moving cases too quickly.

“There’s plenty of evidence in all of these cases to prove the theories of prosecution,” diGenova said, according to The Associated Press. “It just takes time to get there, and some people want to get there a little faster than others, and you can’t do that.”

Brennan also faces scrutiny over statements he made to Congress concerning the intelligence community’s assessment of Russian interference in the 2016 election.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, referred Brennan to the Justice Department for possible prosecution in October 2025, alleging that Brennan made false statements during 2023 congressional testimony about the CIA’s handling of information from the Steele dossier. The referral itself does not establish criminal wrongdoing.

The Florida investigation has recently moved from voluntary interviews toward compelled grand jury testimony, with additional subpoenas issued to witnesses. Investigators have also sought information concerning the FBI’s 2022 search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.

May a pre-emptory charge of perjury be prepared against John Brennan even before he is sworn in? Because, he must contradict virtually every statement he has sworn to in the past if he is now telling the truth, or if he maintains the same opinion in the face of new questioning, he must be obviously lying once again.

John Brennan faces a choice that is no choice at all. Even if he pleads the Fifth Amendment.

For those who haven't seen the following video (former CIA operative John Kiriakou speaking about Brennan) it is definitely worth 7 and a half minutes of your time:

Look up Journalist Michael Hastings and what happened to him.

He was working on a story about John Brennan.

I will. How is it that people like Brennan advance in government? (rhetorical)

I say take the few months extra time and secure serious prosecutions.

Yeah, and the fact the he and James Comey, the two lowest of the low-hanging fruit of Treason and Sedition are still walking around free, tells me that no one is ever going to jail for anything.

However the pretend ‘investigations’ will continue until moral improves.

I guess the best we can hope for these days is to cost people like Brennan and Comey a lot of money in lawyers fees, and some well-deserved angst.

In the meantime, President Trump had to defend himself from a woman who said he assaulted her decades ago in a Department store - though she couldn't even remember what year it was, had zero proof, and her story was similar to a storyline of a TV show episode. Her and her attorney likely decided that if she gave a specific date Trump could be exonerated based on his known schedule at that time.

Justice? What's that..

Lawlessness will abound and the love of many will grow cold

The Democrats had no problem locking up 60 year old grandmas who just happened to be walking near the Capital steps on January 6th. No Habeas Corpus, no activist Judges to override the miscarriages of justice.

We are only in the beginnings of evil times. Too many people are asleep and don’t see or don’t want to see the lateness of the hour.
