Looking at them, I would have asked the judge to simply leave it for other jurors to decide.

That reminds me of a semi-Iconic scene at the UN, where
in a crowded room of speakers, then Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkle was speaking for the whole room on a particular issue, with everyone in full agreement,
well, ‘everyone’ agreed except for one head of state, that was Donald J. Trump, President of the USA.
No matter how she framed her arguments, he refused to go along with everyone else. The Chancellor was at her wit’s end trying to get a ‘Yes’ from the American president.
She never did get one.
I understand Mrs. Clancy’s defense strategy. What I don’t understand is her demeanor.

The “chick” on the top picture sure looks a lot like Gary Busey.
I’m really disappointed in their husbands for allowing them to act this way in public.
How these “women” ever got past jury selection is something to ponder ....

Yep looking at them they match EXACTLY what I thought they would be, your typical white, commie women who support abortion til the moment of birth and beyond. YAY we were all so excited to sign the paper to let her out of jail so she can go kill again but this one dude refused to budge

Just had a conversation with a female bartender about this. I mentioned that I wasn’t following the trial and she said it was clear the husband committed the murders.
She had just returned to work after having a baby of her own.
They would deliberated 5 minutes, maybe less, to convict a man of similar crimes.
The only reasonable doubt is if she was suffering from some sort of mental illness.
The FACT that she killed three children is not in doubt.
Thank God for one rationally thinking mind.

I would never want to be on a jury for a trial such as this.
Brings back memories of the trial of Budzyn and Nevers, Detroit police officers, who were convicted of second-degree murder in 1993, while charges against another officer were dropped and a fourth was found not guilty.
In the case of Larry Nevers, it was a majority black jury and the lone stand out white guy who voted to acquit, eventually was bullied into submission.
His interview with then local talk show host Frank Beckman, was nothing but apologetic for his surrendering to the bullying majority.
