The [Russian] Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Defense plan to launch a joint project in the coming weeks to identify future participants in the Special Military Operation [war in Ukraine] among high school seniors.
“On this momentous day, September 1, I want to share some important and good news with you. We are beginning a search among high school seniors—students in their graduating classes—for reliable, patriotic, and conscientious young men and women who could strengthen our army and join the Special Military Operation shortly after graduating from high school. Over the course of the school year, we will select candidates, talk with them, and then train them. As soon as they turn 18, they will be able to go and fight for Russia's victory,” said a source close to Education Minister Sergey Kravtsov.
He assured that sending yesterday's high school students to the Special Military Operation “will be voluntary, a call from the heart”: “They won't go directly to the front lines. They'll operate drones, work in electronic warfare, and so on.” As part of this pilot project, the plan is to recruit at least 10,000 high school graduates into the army. They could take part in the special military operation as early as next year.
A source in the Ministry of Defense called the experiment important—both for the progress of the special military operation and “for the patriotic education of all Russians—both children and adults.” “You know, it was officially stated that there are plans, for the sake of Russia's future, to reduce the number of young people who will receive higher education. Many students are now joining the Special Military Operation. So why enroll in university first and create unnecessary red tape? Right after high school, we'll train those who are willing—everyone who is suitable for us—to fight and defeat the enemy. We expect excellent results from this project,” explained a source close to Andrei Belousov.

One observes that this Telegram channel -- Kremilin Secrets -- publishes in Russian, when one clicks on the link. My broswer makes a machien translation of it and many non-English pages. The Telegram HQ is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
A visit to the channel is recommended to Freepers, to experiences firsthand what is there. A visit is also recommended to Freepers to visit AdmSmith's FR "In Forum" to experience his ( or her ) singular focus on the Ukraine-Russia war.
What is consistent with this Telegram channel's current comment is "...said a source close to...." Rather like our major media's "according to unnamed sources" and "speaking on condition of anonymity" and the like. Anonymous sources are always "the best."

I would say at least 95% of FReepers, as I was, were unaware of that thread beyond its 1st week or so of life. I assume the OP is aware of that.

Thanks for the question, and two comments. It took no time at all, FR bookmarks and internet bookmarks being so convenient. No "hunting" was necessary. First, the "many months' old thread" has been regularly checked by me for my own interest. Others as well ( names upon request ). Additionally the OP posted to his "many months' old thread" only a short time before posting to this new thread. So any notion of "a useless life" seems not necessarily applicable, or perhaps applicable to us all.

Thanks for making my point. The OP's almost daily devotion to a number of Telegram channels regularly "source" anonymous sources, a rather amusing oxymoron.
For this post, "a source close to" and a "source in the Ministry of Defense" and then "a source close to...." Such is the channel's game of "secrets." Understandable since the app is hq'd in Dubai, UAE, and not Russia and not Ukraine.
FR is a fine site, John Robinson's web design still functional after so many years, in spite of many Freepers suggesting changes. An example: in only a click I learn that you are "basically a Reagan Conservative!!" A nifty stance. Good on you.
Ergo, it takes little to check in with any number of Freepers, their views and threads. If that's "a useless life," then what are you doing on this thread? Or today's thread in which I too particpated, about Duffy and Zeldin and the stop-start, which I saw too often in German taxis over the tears. Those cab owners also disliked it, by the way.
