What's the impact of an ad?
It's a question making the rounds in many circles as backlash grows over a 15-second spot created by Frisco-based Good Good Golf to showcase a new co-branded driver from equipment maker Callaway.
The ad begins with one of the founders of Good Good, Garrett Clark, shoulder-checking a female golfer, another Good Good staffer, Alexis Miestowski, a former Division I golfer, to the ground.
"I felt nauseous," The Family Place CEO Tiffany Tate said. "That was my first gut-level reaction when I saw the ad."
The ad concludes with the Good Good content creator standing over Miestowski on the ground and warning in a menacing voice, "Don't touch my driver."
Now, Tate is sharing a warning of her own.
"It's not funny, it's dangerous," Tate said.
And Tate should know. She's spent decades working as both a social worker and at The Family Place, helping survivors and educating communities about the insidious nature of abuse.

Gen Zer used to doing outrageous stuff for clicks doesn’t get it when he’s crossed a line?
Imagine that!
But wait! The Left has been insisting for years that women are fully equal to men in all respects (except for the many in which they are greatly superior,) and that women must be allowed to take up roles in the various combat arms branches of our Armed Forces. Now they are shrieking about this ad normalizing “violence towards women?”
They can’t have it both ways. If they can’t compete and need protection from men, they aren’t the Amazonian battle princesses they insist that they are.
Feminism, like DEI, is based on lies and destroys everything that it touches.
They are cool with a woman strangling her three children to death, but THIS is “nauseating.”
The ad includes no fashionable Lice Cut Negress.
It is therefore bad prima fascia
Some idiot thought that this was a good idea.
Strawman argument.
More fake outrage from the left as they’re actually assassinating people…
I know. Sometimes I get that “approaching end of days” feeling.

Let's not let the media confuse. This is essentially a "product placement" bit of PR by The Family Place, in the guise of "backlash."
The Family Place is a 501(c)3 and Tate as CEO was pulling in a nice salary and perks. See: Family Place Inc, Dallas, TX
Their donations seem to be slumping, and the $300K+ CEO just got a nice bit of press coverage by "I felt nauseous...." So please send donations to .... And looking down to Part IX "Statement of Functional Expenses" one learns from the tax filing that about a third of donations go to salaries of the non-profit. They are sitting on millions in unspent "assets."
One notes that "female golfer" Alexis Miestowski was not reported to feel "nauseous."
So Tate says basically, "Notice us and send donations." It is almost always about the benjamins....
Yes. Seeing those poor people, running with no hope of escape was just awful.

Unbelievable. The death toll seems pretty low, hopefully that area is relatively sparsely populated.
Reshoot the commercial, but reverse the gender roles. Put the man on the ground. Then they would be just fine.
$286,430 in W-2 and $54,818 in other compensation. The second number must be a bonus for her success in reducing grants and contributions almost in half - from $24,127,546 to $12,880,417 fiscal years 2023 - 2024. While operating at a roughly $1.5 million loss.

Numbers from the filing for fiscal year 2024.
Yeah, if it was a man smelling the glove, they'd be alright with it.
The ad IS stupid for this... but if it was a She body checking a He touching her clubs, would there be any outrage?
Please, do tell me how it crossed the line? Is not a man physically stronger than a woman? Did she not touch his driver? Besides, she had a real nice smile on her face after he proved his dominance.
What’s not to like about that ad? You know he probably left the golf course with her.
One wonders what the disappearance of USAID cash played in the longer history....
