Massie has, in the past, tried to get this Country of Origin bill passed but was blocked.
“Establishment Republicans have repeatedly blocked or split over his attempts, primarily due to pushback from powerful lobbies. While Thomas Massie’s ideas have strong backing from independent ranchers and populist Republicans, the resistance stems from within his own party.” (Google).
And let’s get his PRIME Act bill passed as well.
No to Milei First. No to Argentinia First. It’s America First.
Any other talk just keeps the intra party squabbling going.
Many U.S. ranchers already have and are currently going under.
“Country of Origin” needs a sharp definition; i.e.: where they were born, raised, finished, and slaughtered.
I’d like to have you out of office as soon as possible.
I’ve seen enough corruption in the beef market to not be too impressed by who handles it and how it’s handled.
All live stock markets are like this. It’s corruption is not really investigated and I see ranchers and truckers doing all kinds of shady things with no real punishment or enforcement.
Even if I saw the labels, I would have maybe 60% confidence in what it actually says.
Massie has a history of these failures, almost as if he (like Linda Graham) tries to pretend to be conservative to establish fraudulent credentials and knows he has no consensus and the bills will surely fail. Unpopular man’s grandiose show to gain attention.
“TRUMP: “We’ll by Argentinian beef.”
Reporters:’ What about the US farmers who are suffering?’
Trump: “Argentina is fighting for its life. Do you understand me? They’re dying.”
He says this as 77 American cattle producers are going out of business in the US per day.”

Is there a major reason to complain about beef from Argentina, aside from competition? I mean as a consumer.
Country of Origin labeling should be required on everything we buy. Every Thing
Not just beef. I want to know what third world country is sending tainted lettuce to Taco Bell!
Country of origin should be clearly marked on all foods, not just beef. Would you buy jam or peanut butter from a country whose residents hate America and Americans?
I don’t mind if they put a label on it or not but it’s hardly an issue a consumer cares about.
“Many U.S. ranchers already have and are currently going under.”
The rancher I know well said his cows didn’t produce calves this year because of DROUGHT. He cannot increase “production” until he has either more irrigation water from reservoirs at record lows or a lot more rain.
Getting beef from Argentina won’t achieve either goal, but it will make beef cheaper for the next year. NOTHING will help him THIS year.
If we could have country-of-origin stickers on beef then I could avoid the mRNA that is in all the commercial AMERICAN beef and get the safer foreign imports. It is in the vegetables, too. Gates is getting serious about Population Reduction, what with mRNA in everything we don’t grow ourselves and all the aluminum nanoparticles he is dropping on us from the sky.
Seriously, every stated excuse I've heard about why this isn't done makes no sense. I can understand why foreign producers wouldn't want it, but their whining is not my problem.
American Ranchers are being replaced by Bill Gates’s lab grown Beef-Like Substance.
Check your local tool store or walmart.
You will find 90% of items stamped "made in china"
The rest will be from thailand, pakistan, vietnam, etc.
Tom, how would you label your favorite side of beef known as MTG?
Easy, buy Nolan Ryan beef.
