EC
Neah neah neah neah boo boo.
It is soooo satisfying for people to experience “find out”.
LOL.
Another satisfying result of DeSantis’s complete conservative / Republican takeover of Florida. Any liberal nonsense gets kneecapped immediately.
What are some other Judge races going on? I never see any Judge elections on my ballot in SW Florida.
Awwwwwwww. Adios !
Mavel Ruiz is not just a Trump lunatic, she is a foreigner, born in Cuba. She was welcomed into this country and now wants it to be like her old country. It’s good she was defeated.
Good outcome for sure. Usually rotten judges get to infest the courts because most people don’t know who they are. All they see most of the time on the ballot is a long list of judges who they have no idea of what they have done .
It would be nice if there was a conservative site that followed judicial elections in each state. It’s an important issue.
The always missing background info,
Candidate/Issue Total Votes % of Total Votes
Destiny Alvarez . . . . 113,215. . . . 50.46%
Mavel Ruiz . . . . . . . 111,142. . . . 49.54%
Total Votes. . . . . . . 224,357
Although listed in groups, the entire county votes on the judges in nonpartisan elections. 19% turnout for Miami-Dade County in the primary.
Registered Voters: . . . . 1,288,156
Ballots Cast: . . . . . . . . . 244,454
Voter Turnout: . . . . . . . . 18.98%
The Supervisor of Elections home page says there are 1,639,185 Registered Voters. The August 3, 2026 says 1,289,067 and the Primary election report says 1,288,156 (lists 772 precincts vs 767 precincts for the Group 67 election tally — I could not find a reason for the discrepancy).
Voter Registration of major parties and unenrolled
Dem . . . . 407,910
Rep . . . . 455,471
Une . . . . 391,290
There are 15 minor parties in Florida.

It was a non partisan election. We do not know the partisanship of the judges in Florida. I suspect most of them are not enrolled in a party.
I love good news in the morning!
Judge Ruiz soon to rule that the election results are invalid and that she will remain in office.
Except she’s out.
She’s going to “rule” from Tahiti or from her home country Cuba.
My state sends out a sample ballot weeks before the election. All the judges running are listed. It only takes 10 to 15 minutes to do a search on these people who are highly influential on the law and order of your community. You can usually find out where they lean.
If they give no indication where they lean, they probably are conservative! You can tell the Democrats because they can't help themselves from bragging about belonging to some leftist organization or charity.
