‘Oppenheimer’ star David Krumholtz quits acting in heated rant: ‘Frustrated, fed up, fried’

David Krumholtz is “frustrated, fed up, fried” after more than 30 years in Hollywood. The “Oppenheimer” actor, 48, declared that he is taking an “indefinite break” from acting as he took issue with how actors are treated and fears that he could go “broke.”

“I kinda sorta put my acting career on hold the other day. It’s been something I’ve been petrified to do for years,” Krumholtz wrote in a now-deleted post on Threads Monday. “Specifically, the fear was that I’d go broke and not be able to handle being out of the game.”

“A huge wave of relief washed over me,” he wrote. “Not sure what I’m going to do for money instead, or how I’m going to do it, but I just removed a humongous burden, one that I truly didn’t fathom the weight of until it was gone.”

There are actors you recognize by name, and other’s that you recognize by appearance. For me, this dude was neither.

I didn’t see Oppenheimer, but he was the younger brother in Num3ers. Hard to see how he could go broke.

I searched for him and even looked at his pictures. I don’t know who he is. Of course, I’m not big into movies anymore.

“Not sure what I’m going to do for money instead...”

Get a real job like all the people who saw your movie and paid you...

This is the most convoluted article I’ve read. Maybe ever read

What movie is he in?

The headline says Oppenheimer. Then numbers then supergirl

I have to do research to find out what role he played in Oppenheimer? No. Tge headline says Oppenheimer. The publisher wants us to tie him and his rant to Nolan, then doesn’t mention why

Then the guy says he will work as an actor

Sucker article

....he is taking an “indefinite break” from acting as he took issue with how actors are treated...

Yeah, it must suck to be given 20 tries to get something right.

and fears that he could go “broke.”

Yeah, it must suck to continue to get paid for work you did 30 years ago. Also, the world needs ditchdiggers, too.

Oh yeah, Bernard. Tim Allen’s character kept calling him Barnaby and Barrabas.

Dude.

You were a star of a hit show that lasted six seasons and have been in several movies that were also hits.

You should have plenty of money in the bank. Unless you blew it all on weed.

He said he “feared going broke” and “not sure what I’m going to do for money instead”.

Hopefully he has money in the bank and can find something useful to do. Although there are plenty of famous actors and sports stars that have gone broke.

He needs a motivational speech from Marshawn Lynch. “It’s all about the chicken, ya’ gotta take care of your chicken.”

Aside from Lynch’s drunk driving, foul mouth and attitude towards press conferences, he is a pretty good businessman.
