Federal immigration officers arrested more than 1,200 illegal immigrants in the Atlanta, Georgia area, including 720 who DHS said had been convicted of or charged with crimes.
Speaking on “Fox & Friends,” Marcos Charles, executive associate director of ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations, said the sweep took violent criminals — including sex offenders and child abusers — off the streets.
“We arrested over 1,200 aliens, illegal aliens, out in the Atlanta, Georgia area. More than half of those people had criminal histories,” Charles said.
“We’re talking about sex crimes, assault and battery, some with DUI convictions, domestic violence. These individuals needed to be taken off the street, not only because they’re criminals, but because they are here illegally in the United States,” he added.
The Department of Homeland Security announced online that the sweep, called “Operation Safe Community – Atlanta,” focused on criminal illegal immigrants.
“Every day, the men and women of ICE ERO were out in the streets across the nation, enforcing the immigration laws as set forth by Congress. So we’re keeping the community safe. We’re [going to] be traveling all over the United States doing the same thing,” Charles said.
In July, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement recorded approximately 51,000 immigration arrests, which ICE said was its highest monthly total ever, surpassing the 43,000 arrests recorded in June.

What are the logistics in arresting 1500 people? How do they “sweep” up that many? I ask because it seems that this could happen in 25 or 30 cities across the country. I hope.
There is no town in America that isn’t infested with an illegal aliens population.
Yes, sadly that’s true. I would guess all states are far more infested that we realize. Sometimes I’ll go to a store here in central Florida and I’ll see a whole family, mom/dad/kids and they are so tiny I feel like I could pick them all up at the same time as the “dad” is 4”11” and the mom is 4’6”. Likely Hondurans or from some generic south american country where the populace has gone generations with almost no nutrition in their diets - like what our rulers want for us.
I hope most all of these arrested have been deported back to where they came from....

It got so bad at the two I patronize i thought I was in downtown Bogata.
After Trump got elected and ramped up ICE and border patrol I submitted online reports adðbout the situation at those two stores and it didn’t take long until what I was sure were illegals weren’t there anymore.
I still see what I suspect are illegals but in way less numbers than when that idiot biden was defiling the WH.
The Walmart near me is filled with mooselimbs and Indians with a dot. I do my best to stay away from there.

I live in a seaside town south of Boston. My condo community is having our roofs replaced. I guarantee that if ICE swept in here there would be no one working except for the bosses. My son thinks that they’re all from Guatemala, both men and women and not a single one speaks or understands English.
I’m a painting contractor in the Atlanta area. I used to not care about citizen status when hiring teams. Now I’ve got specific line items in my subcontractors agreement that they are legally able to work in the country. Since most of the subs I hire have their own llc’s I can’t e-verify their workers, that’s on that business owner to verify their own employees.
I also require English speaking painters so that eliminates a lot of them right off the bat.
That said there’s probably at least 400k in GA that need to be removed, I feel like I’m in a different country in some areas of Atlanta.
Better still, go after the larger number of illegals who are employed by Republicans who have access to Trump.

The USA work force actually got smaller last month, which reduced un-employment by 0.1%.
