The more they spend, the more homeless they get.
It’s the People’s Republic of Graft and Kickbacks. Nothing will happen. Like voter fraud, it’s how they do bidness. That sewer of a state is like some banana republic where everybody is on the take.
Sounds like a tough gig to need that much vacation from it. /sarc
Strange how people who work for non-profits find a way to handsomely profits.
What a scam!
“Adelkoff has listed the Big Island of Hawaii as her primary residence for more than a decade, according to the outlet.
Property records show she owns a 3,700-square-foot, four-bedroom home, and court records include testimony from her daughter that she was raised in Hawaii and that her mother lives there “year-round.”
Adelkoff declined to confirm where she lives, telling the newspaper that revealing her location could pose a security risk because the nonprofit serves victims fleeing abusive situations. She also did not answer questions about how often she travels to Southern California for work or who pays for those trips.”
There should be no government funded nonprofits or NGOs. They’re just money laundering rackets, and whatever problem they supposedly fix they only make worse because that’s how they stay and grow their “business”.
It was all a massive graft project from day zero.
Somalians had to learn the scam from those that flourish stealing taxpayers money under the guise of virtue signaling, albeit false virtue.
Lots of money to be made in the corrupt homeless industry...
First there’s donations, cash fees from ‘rent a mob’ companies, tax free crap.. and no one cares if the situations they’re ‘helping’ gets worse every year.
paid its longtime CEO more than $1.6 million over two years,
In California not many things get done unless a bribe is involved.
All through the years inefficient government programs have led people to joke “They may as well stand on the street corners and give every poor person thousands of dollars in cash.”*
Think of how much $1.6 Million would mean to actual disadvantaged people such as a mother who left her abusive husband and wants to protect her two small children but is totally broke. Or a disabled old person who can’t work and is now becoming a homeless person begging for money.
But that is all leading to a surge in demand for socialist/communist takeovers. The greed by some is leading to punishment for all of us.
* During President Gerald Ford’s term, his program to match people to jobs that would earn them $10,000 a year (pretty good back then) meant his bureaucracy and distribution expenses and paperwork ended up costing the government approximately $50,000 for each $10,000 a year job. Definitely would have been better to throw cash into the air.
Can anyone afford to live in California except government and NGO employees?
According to AI Overview...
John D. Rockefeller did not hand out quarters to the poor; instead, he famously carried a pocketful of shiny new dimes to give to children and adults he met. He used these small gifts to teach lessons about saving money and personal thrift.
The poor... Apparently it's not a 'new' thing, they've always been around.
