Titus was a beloved emperor but he only reigned a little over two years (June 79 to Sept. 81). Other emperors were initially popular but became unpopular later, so we can’t say if Titus would have remained popular if he had enjoyed a long reign.

They’re still just tin pot dictators at the end of the day, even if they “did a relatively good job” and killed less people than other dictators that came before or after them.
