DSA and NAZI (vanity)

Just wondering why more people are not noticing or pointing out the following: NAZI translates to National Socialist German Workers' Party. Seems a lot like Democrat Socialists of America.

And they call us NAZIs. The DSA isn’t even hiding it. Also some of the same goals including gutting the Constitutional government, getting rid of police (of course they will have their own enforcers aka Brown Shirts), putting thugs on the streets, etc.

Remember Hitler was elected at first. History repeating and not in a good way.

Learned that fact and people refuse to see truth that Democrat Socialists are the modern “literal” bleeps when you see the key words “Socialist” and “Workers”.

I was hoping that Socialism was dead, in the last century.

I had come up with several “explanations” for it, like industrialization, improvements in mass communication, and the like.

I expect, now, that it is a part of human nature. The real world is exploited by the afflicted wherever gain can be found.

Humans are not free of it, as I had hoped.

Hitler's party was not the Democratic Socialist Party but the National Socialist German Workers' Party. In German political argot, "national" in a party's name usually indicates that it's rightist--like the post-WWII National Democratic Party.

The Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) is the country's main socialist party.

There are actually a lot of parallels between how todays democrat socialists and when Nazis in the 1930s, but they are definitely not the same, as you point out. The most glaring difference is that the Nazi party was strongly opposed to and felt that the communists were the greatest threat. So in that regard, they were inherantly not like current democrat socialists.

DSA are not national socialists, because they work to destroy the nation.

National socialists exalt the nation. When national socialists came to power in Germany the very first thing they did was to build a concentration camp and fill it up with their equivalents of the DSA.

What people fail to recognize is the fact that Fascism and Communism are skin-touchingly-close next to each other on a political spectrum, not at opposite ends of the political spectrum as many seem to think.

The fact that Communism could cherry pick Fascists to switch sides (and vice versa) and steal their enemies over to their sides was well known to both the Nazis and the Communists in WWII.

This misunderstanding about Communism and Fascism is because this commonly used political spectrum is fallacious, and intended to try to amplify the small distance between the two totalitarian ideologies:

This is useful for the Leftists/Socialists/Communists who wish to have a Orwellian 1984-ish Goldstein-like entity that they can direct their "Two Minutes Hate" towards, and in this example above, Fascism fits the bill perfectly for their purposes. But it is wholly fallacious, and IMO, intentionally so, because the Leftists/Socialists/Communists don't want the Useful Idiots and Rubes to realize that their ideological elbow-rubbing blood brothers are really the Fascists.

In other words, Fascism and Communism are both authoritarian ideologies. This graphic below is the more accurate representation of ideologies on a spectrum:

The fact that the Left and the Media push the spectrum that represents Communism and Fascism at the opposite ends of the Spectrum is quite telling to me.
