OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested a 27-year-old Ecuadorian woman as she prepared to board a flight from Denver to Oakland on July 20, according to ICE and a friend who witnessed the arrest.
Chantal Morales Rojas had been living in Oakland and was returning from a visit to Denver with her former host family, according to Bay Area resident Alycia Dantzker. Dantzker said Rojas previously worked for the family as an au pair when they lived in Santa Cruz County. The family has since moved to Denver.
Dantzker said she has known Rojas for three years and described her as caring, calm and wise.
"She knows so much about babies. She's got this calm, a lot of wisdom, and just really, really smart and incredibly kind and caring," Dantzker said.
Dantzker said a man approached Rojas at Denver International Airport and questioned her about her immigration status. She said additional people in civilian clothes later gathered around Rojas on the jetway before she was taken into custody.
Dantzker recorded the arrest.
"It was hard to believe it was really happening. But I had a plan to record and bring as much attention to it as I could," she said.

Chantal Morales Rojas broke the law and Dantzker enabled the law breaker. Moral blindness leads to trouble.
They really make her sound like a great person. Ecuador would surely benefit from having a person of her qualities in their country.
It was hard to believe because for years the Hussein/Biden Regime did not care if you were caring for kids, or carrying fentanyl.

Along I-10, at points east and west of El Paso, there are stations manned by the Border Patrol that routinely stops vehicles, enters buses, and inspects trucks looking for illegals.

Typical biased “news” report. Yes the Trump admin is targeting violent illegal aliens first but it never said it would not deport all illegal aliens. Indeed, it specifically said it would. SHE claims she’s here legally. ICE says otherwise. It will be for an immigration judge to determine. PS. in over 95% of such cases, the foreigner is found to not be here legally and is deported.
People protested against ICE? Yes, a small minority nationwide is against deporting illegal aliens. A large majority is in favor of deporting illegal aliens.
So she is not an Oakland woman as the headline says- she is an Ecuadorian woman per the first line in the article.
