James Bond may have to trade his licence to flirt for something more permanent after a former Bond girl urged the franchise's new writers to make him monogamous.
Trina Parks, who starred alongside Sean Connery as Thumper the assassin in 1971's Diamonds Are Forever, has called for the new 007 to be a more faithful partner to "reflect the modern world".
Parks said she hoped Amazon MGM could reshape the narrative of both Bond girls and the special agent himself.
"Of course I would like them to keep the romance in, but perhaps not give him a multitude of partners," she said. "The script really has to reflect the modern world, where women are stronger characters and hold powerful positions."

If you’re going there, and the next Bond would be monogamous, do it in AI and cast the ghost of the guy who turned down the role *because* Bond wasn’t — Patrick McGoohan.

It is pretty hard to be a good looking, mysterious alpha male, with high intelligence and charm and with terrific talents, skills, quiet confidence, and world travel, while looking like a well dressed masculine male model who can win bar fights, and not be pursued by females.

Don’t care I’m done with Bond only watched 1 of the last Bond movies . I watch the old ones , the Real Bond movies
I envisioned the next Bond to be a much older, world-weary individual. Someone who is declining physically, but still is sharp as a tack.
Someone who is quick with a joke, or to light up your smoke. But there’s someplace that he’d rather be.
In other words, me.
But I don’t see my picture there. So I guess I’m out of the running, for this round anyway.
And the next D-Day movie should be shot using the current Marques of Geneva Rules, to protect modern sensibilities.
I was thinking of a D-Day documentary narrated by Liberace, courtesy of AI.
If it doesn’t have Sean Connery in it, its not a Bond movie.
Henry Cavill or Tom Hardy.
What world is this person talking about. Monogamous behavior is the exception today.
The goal is to emasculate James Bond in the next movie.
