Former First Lady Jill Biden has found herself in a pickle after her recent book, View from the East Wing, was #1 on The New York Times bestseller list upon release. But weeks after its release, the book didn't simply fall in the rankings, but completely disappeared from the list itself.
The sudden drop caught the eyes of the critics, which fueled speculation that bulk purchases may have boosted its debut. The theory motivated the netizens to mock her, calling the book a scam.
Last month, Jill Biden’s book View from the East Wing debuted on The New York Times bestsellers’ list in the #1 spot. But in the following week, it slid down to #3 on the list and eventually disappeared from the list altogether. The drastic drop from the top to anonymity had sparked concerns among the American readers, who were curious about the exact sales.
On June 28, a user tweeted on X, writing, “Did we ever get sales figures for Jill Biden's memoir?” Nate Silver, a political analyst, replied to the user, saying he believed the book reached the top spot due to “astroturfed bulk orders.” He said the dagger symbol indicated bulk orders.
Once those bulk orders stopped, the book lost the top spot after two weeks. They added, “Very rare for a "#1" to fall that fast. Virtually no one except political reporters are actually reading it.”

Was that “Promise Me, Stepmom”?
The highpoint was when the dying Beau begged Jill not to let Hunter have sex with his widow.
They go to every library in the country...paid for by you and me.
Of course it was a scam. Her name is “Biden”, right?
Amazing to see Nate Silver of all people admit that
In the 1990s, a very wealthy self-called socialist from Waco mailed me lots of rat authored books. I knew he made bulk purchases to boos sales of otherwise unsalable books. I would trade them at my local mom and pop book store for legit reading material - Hustler, Pillow Talk, Playboy, etc.
She was no doubt paid millions. Book publishers are in large part just political money launderers.
After going to all the libraries in the county, that’s where they stay; no more demand. Nobody is reading them.

You8 really have to have something wrong with you to want to read this “book”.
Liberal crap always jumps to Numbah One the first few weeks that libraries and schools are forced to buy copy of the crap nobody else is going to buy.
Jill’s book is a work of fiction, full of lies and distortions I’m sure.
