Two days into the investigation he was called into Washington. He came back from DC and from that point on was pushing the empty center fuel tank explosion theory.
Someone in Washington got to him big-time ...

Very similar to the COVID coverup which is ongoing. Blame COVID on bat soup instead of an obvious lab leak from the lab that Fauci was funding.

If you search TWA 800, you’ll find that FR was up to the challenge in those days.
There were many spirited discussions right here.

You can condense the arguments into about three generalities.

One was the “official” version: That wiring caused a spark in the center fuel tank causing the explosion. (The CIA aided and assisted in this theory, - Really- and none of the tv talking heads batted an eye. )

Two was the Navy missile theory: That the Navy was conducting missile tests at the time in a heavy civilian traffic area. I have some very serious doubts, although Jack Cashill has switched to this .

Three, the one I lean towards: A missile from bad guys. Maybe aided by an on board bomb.. maybe not.

These discussions attracted some “unusual” posters. Some were suspected to be government spooks planting misinformation. Dig and read, FRiends.
