Your mention of aid to Israel and only Israel as being the problem behind increased Housing prices is the issue. If you said..”shucks, all this foriegn aid to countries and our interventionalist foreign policies, as well as reckless deficit spending is helping drive up domestic housing prices...” I would have said “Amen brother!” When you mentioned Israel specifically, it had the look of being, if not fully antisimetic,(as a nod to to your mentioned wife) at least specificially anti Israel. Israel wants to survive, we need a reliable ally in the middle east and life between nations gets muddled.
There are a lot of younger freeper accounts really going after Israel on this site right now and frankly making anti jewish statements that would have made a Nazi SS agent smile! I’m not sure that all of them that are doing so, do so in full awareness that they are acting as “repeater stations” for the real culprits in politics and media. It appears that these younger freepers are attempting to turn Freeper culture which is conservative , but generally pro Israel and not pro bigotry of any race or religion, save for Islam,( of which I also am anti Islamist and proudly so) into a Jew and Israel hate repeater site.
So I will call out what I see as any unquestioning criticisms and insults against Jews and Israel.
Israel can and should be criticised when called for...that I have no argument about. The context in which such criticisms occur is what is important.
