In the fevered corners of the internet where men — primarily white — gather to "optimise" every little detail of their bodies, there is a belief that even the brain can be beaten into shape to make men seem more attractive.
Here, cortisol affects "facial fat redistribution", dopamine affects "eye contact quality", serotonin affects "resting expression", and acetylcholine affects “intelligence in social contexts".

Huh?
These factions utilize Ayurvedic principles and adaptogens to “optimize” cognitive function, manage cortisol, and balance hormones for physical performance.
Oh, now we know....../s.
Ayurveda is Hindu hoodoo! I support Orthodox Christianity and Western medicine!

I know there’s somewhere we could get the full version, but where?
Yeah, Sure,.... it is “Trump Supporters” doing this, not fad following narcissistic ‘liberals’.
More putrid garbage to clog up FR...
I went t an Ayurvedic practitioner long ago and had goof results. It was 40 or 50 years ago so I forget exactly why I went and what practitioner did. anyway, I never doubt other kinds of approaches to sickness.
I rarely get sick,. Had a colld about 16 years ago. Just saw my MD and he doesn’t want my blood pressure to get too low. No drugs, usecarditone that my neighbor told me about. she goes to a Naturopath.
showed carditone to my MD and he was impressed. about 40 on amazon if you don’t have a Naturapath nearby.
I lost interest when I saw the spelling “optimise.” Not American.
That’s British English spelling.
So, do you only read things that are published by Americans?
Ayurveda is mostly herbal. That’s not ‘hoodoo’.
(But I’m sure the pharm industry and the Western medical establishment wouldn’t want anything so cheap and unpatentable horning in on their action...)
I use a couple of herbal things for certain problems and they work very well - for pennies.

Yes, I know that -ise is the traditional British spelling (and this comes from India) but even there it is not universal. I have a book published by the Oxford University Press way back in 1952 in which the author, in the preface, notes that “the comparatively frequent appearances in its pages of the last letter of the English alphabet reflect the practice of the Press, not my own.” He must be referring to spellings like “realize.”
No, I frequently read texts by Greek and Roman authors, either in the original or in English translation, regardless of where that edition was published. I was even reading something by an English author earlier today.
Well, that’s not an answer.
Why did you ‘stop reading’ just because this article was written by someone who uses British English spelling?
Send in the Queer Eye Gays LOL:-}
What does that have to do with anything?
