The Case for America takes on one of the most contested legal battles in modern American history - the true story of January 6th. Host Treniss Evans is joined by attorney Roger Roots and retired Army Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Raiklin to dismantle what they call a five-year government narrative built on the word "insurrection." Roots argues the DOJ systematically overcharged and over-sentenced J6 defendants with felony charges unprecedented in American history, while filing a sweeping 90-plus-page civil complaint on behalf of hundreds of Jers.
Raiklin says the statute of limitations on that testimony expires in just three weeks, and he's not stopping at Fanone - additional referrals are reportedly coming for other officers he claims lied under oath. This is a hard-hitting legal breakdown of accountability, justice, and what really happened on January 6th.

The YouTube video titled “CRIMINAL Referral FILED Against Jan 6 Cop Michael Fanone” is from the channel Real America’s Voice.
It features host Treniss Evans in conversation with attorney Roger Roots and retired Army Lieutenant Colonel Ivan Raiklin. The discussion critically examines the official narrative surrounding the January 6, 2021, Capitol events, framing it as a contested legal and historical matter.
Key Points Covered:
* Critique of the “Insurrection” Narrative: The guests argue that the government and media promoted a one-sided story of a violent attack on Congress, downplaying it as a First Amendment-protected protest related to the 2020 election. They highlight what they describe as unprecedented overcharging and lengthy sentencing of January 6 defendants by the DOJ.
* Civil Complaint: Roger Roots discusses a 90+ page civil complaint filed on behalf of hundreds of January 6 participants (represented by the Tixton firm, with over 300 clients). It addresses alleged over-prosecution, and more filings are expected.
* Criminal Referral Against Michael Fanone: Ivan Raiklin announces he has drafted a criminal referral against former officer Michael Fanone. It alleges materially false congressional testimony that contradicts recently released body camera footage (obtained via a Judicial Watch lawsuit). The referral includes multiple counts, with the statute of limitations reportedly expiring soon. Raiklin mentions potential additional referrals for other officers.
* Broader Themes: The conversation emphasizes the need for truth, accountability, and justice regarding January 6, contrasting the official portrayal with evidence from bodycam footage and legal proceedings. It questions the use of military terminology like “attack” or “siege” and stresses that the focus is on factual accuracy rather than partisan narratives.
The video presents a perspective aligned with skepticism toward the mainstream January 6 account, positioning the discussion as part of ongoing efforts to challenge it through legal channels. It includes standard disclaimers about the views expressed. The content runs as a structured interview with analysis and calls for further accountability.

DOJ won’t do anything about it. This is a fantasy. They are still dragging on many issues...and this is not on their radar at all.
How many times has Michael Fanone CRIED today? Wahhhhhh !!!!
#new Former Metro Police officer Michael Fanone criminallyreferred to the DOJ on seven counts over January 6th alleged lying to Congress and other charges and is being sued for $10 million for defamation.
#dc
The criminal referral against Fanone was submitted by Ivan Raiklin to acting Attorney General Todd Blanche and DC Attorney General Jeanine Pirro.
#police
The document cites:
🔷️False statements to Congress,
🔷️Obstruction of official proceedings on Capitol grounds,
🔷️Assaulting and impeding certain officers and employees, and
🔷️Unlawful activities on Capitol grounds.
The DOJ have not confirmed that any formal charges have been filed yet, or that an active prosecution has started.
The referral is tied to Fanone’s conduct during a January House Judiciary Committee hearing on former Special Counsel Jack Smith’s testimony and Fanone’s January 6, 2021, actions and later statements.
Raiklin said he also filed a separate $10 million civil defamation lawsuit against Fanone that includes counts for defamation, assault, and threats.
Details:
🔺️During the hearing, Fanone testified that
🔺️“I had been beaten unconscious and remained so for more than four minutes.”
🔺️He added that doctors told him he suffered a heart attack and later diagnosed him with a concussion, traumatic brain injury, and PTSD.
🔺️However, Bodycam footage from that day shows that Fanone is conscious and talking almost immediately after being pulled from the crowd.
🔺️EMT body cam footage shows emergency responders didn’t find any serious injuries, and Fanone was heard saying he was fine, then started joking with a colleague about the protesters.
🔺️Critics say Fanone’s overly emotional congressional testimony, and alleged exaggeration were constructed to fuel his media appearances, and book deals.
The point out the discrepancies between his sworn statements on injuries and consciousness versus bodycam evidence.
The referral represents an attempt to force authorities to investigate his statements under the same legal standards applied to others.

Former Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Police Officer Michael Fanone was dragged into a violent crowd, beaten, and shocked with a stun gun by rioters at the U.S. Capitol U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021. The attack caused him to suffer a traumatic brain injury and a heart attack.
Five men ultimately pleaded guilty to assaulting Fanone. However, following the release and pardoning of these individuals, Fanone has remained a highly outspoken critic of Donald Trump and the resulting political landscape
Do you have a link for this??? Had not heard of any Jan 6 people with stun guns...
“Fanone has remained a highly outspoken critic of Donald Trump and the resulting political landscape”
His father is also a higher up in the rat party....
BTW- long past time leftists who have lied under oath be punished....all those women who lied about Justice Kavanaugh??? Nothing happened to them....
All those people who lied under oath about the Michael Brown incident? Nothing happened to them.....
Meanwhile people who protested outside abortion clinics were locked up...
Good new
never mind- i found the info...
Fanone’s old man is also a high powered DC attorney- in other words he’s a rat activist...
Is this the POS CRYBABY?
What the eff is a “Criminal Referral”? Is that just a citizen’s complaint?
If so it means NOTHING.
Clown show.
Even IF he doesn’t get prosecuted he’s going to have to hire some overpaid lawyer and will feel what it’s like to be on the other side. This is a good thing.
I wish they’d go after the dude that got away with with murder.
He embellished his testimony (basically lying under oath) and has made a lot of money because of his role in January 6th. He is not, under any definition, a hero. If there is no there there I would assume this will come out in discovery before there is any overt prosecution. If everything is as he said is was then he has nothing to worry about.
As a general thought, it's hard to believe anything about January 6th considering how many lies and inconsistencies have been uncovered already. One thing is for sure, it wasn't caused by President Trump.
[...he’s going to have to hire some overpaid lawyer...]
He already pays for private security so he can walk freely without anyone imposing justice upon him.
Not quite true. He doesn’t have to do anything but keep his mouth shut and refuse to talk. If he gets arrested then he needs a lawyer.
I didn’t read that the DOJ was even investigating this...other than it was just a 3rd party referral.
What about murder investigations against the killers of Ashli Abbott and the other woman killed by the cops? There is no statute of limitations on murder.
Fanone is a small fish. He can be sacrificed by the DS if it makes it look like they are doing something. So many people lied and only now something is being done. Washington FBI would not trust heir own colleagues with the videos. 11,000 to 14,000 hours were withheld. Numerous crimes would have been exposed.
Do nothing DOJ has been a huge disappointment and Trump has done nothing to prod them along.
I’ve read he is intimately tied to DC politics.
Thanks for the clarification. Who is the third party?
