New similarities have emerged between the Thai teenager whose body was found in a suitcase and two cold case murders involving women who suffered the same fate.
Tunchanok Donhomla, 17, was allegedly beaten and strangled before her body was hidden in the black 74cm suitcase dumped near railtracks on the outskirts of Pattaya, eastern Thailand, last Friday.
Simon Carman, 45, was arrested at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport on Friday as he tried to board a Perth flight back to Australia. He has been charged with murder and remains in police custody.
Police are still waiting for the autopsy report, but investigations suggest Ms Donhomla had facial injuries consistent with strangulation, including swelling, bruising and blood around her mouth and nose.
Ms Donhomla is the third woman allegedly killed and concealed inside luggage over the last 18 months. All three bodies were found within a 70km radius of Pattaya.
The first two women - who both had breast implants and facial plastic surgery - were found in waterways in Rayong and Chonburi on February 7 and September 3, 2025.
Like Ms Donhomla, the second victim had tattoos and suffered similar facial injuries, with evidence suggesting she too was strangled.
The identity of the two other women remains unknown to detectives.

No reference to other body parts so I would say no. There are real girl prostitues in Thailand.
Ugh.
When we lived in Bangkok, Pataya was a sleepy little beach town. It was the favorite place for my high school friends and me to hang out. You could rent a small cottage with a bedroom and a charcoal-fired kitchen stove and a refrigerator for five bucks for the weekend.
Hanging him upside down with his head touching water at low tide would be an appropriate option if he is found guilty. Then just let the tide do its work.
From my understanding strangulation is pretty easy to determine if the corpse is still in decent condition. The increase in intracranial pressure causes small blood vessels in the eyes to burst. Leaving a VERY distinctive signature.
The two other cases (no pun intended) were fairly decomposed............
