A mock firing squad dubbed “Commandos for Christ” stormed into a Kentucky Baptist church’s vacation bible school — and executed the devil as part of a bewildering skit in front of young children.
The bizarre scenes, which unfolded at Lexington’s Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, saw armed soldiers take out their enemy and pastor Dewayne Walker rallied kids to chant “take him out, blow him up,” a TikTok video shared on Reddit Monday shows.
So-called Commandos for Christ surrounded their satanic target – who was flailing on the ground – before they opened fire in front of the screaming audience.
As the noise of gunshots rang out in the room, the “Devil” was shot and dragged out via a side door.
The bewildering scenes sparked fury – and Lexington cops said they received several calls, tips, and concerns over the clip.
Retired teacher Kathi Crowe – who is part of the Moms Demand Action anti-gun violence campaign group – told WAVE the clip was “unbelievably disturbing.”
She said churches should be safe spaces for children and branded the simulation “an appalling abuse.”
Crowe called on church leaders to help prevent violence.
Meanwhile, Walker said in a Facebook video he was “befuddled” by the outrage.
“The misinformation out there is sad, and I guess it’s a part of what this generation has become,” he said.
Walker then explained the message behind the skit, claiming that he’s orchestrated scenario for “the last several years.”
“We have characters every year that represent good and right and God, and we have characters that represent evil and wrong and that which should be avoided,” he said.

This is actually an old Native American Indian tradition practiced in the tribes of northern Michigan back in French missionary days.
Call me when they start using real guns and bullets. Til then, give it a rest.
BTW, more Europeans dies each year from summer heat than Americans die from guns.
I wonder how many parents approached the pastor about this, how many were rebuked the pastor and how many left the church over this?
Many churches educate their children in their own way.
Symbolically acting out the melodrama of Sin and Redemption is not unheard of.
By the way. I don’t think this video was intended to be shared with the general public. Somebody in the group chose to violate the privacy of these children.
I don’t know who thought this was a good idea.
The Bee had a satire about a VBS teaching the book of Judges, but as usual truth is stranger than fiction.
Killing the devil by man is where in the bible?
That is what we need to be teaching our children. Depend only upon Christ, our lives depend on that, not upon ourselves.

Not only that, the devil came down to Georgia.
My lead pastor cautions us about sharing the salt and light.
Too much “over seasoning” could repulse people.....pretty sure this is what he’s talking about. 😏

Not being Baptist in the south, we didn’t even know what a VBS was at first. People thought that we just got off of a spaceship. It seems to be a fraud perpetrated on children in summer.
“Vacation” — yay!!
“Bible” — ???
“School” — uh-oh.
VBS was always in the summer 🌞 when
school’s out....no, I didn’t do the song here 😀
how many times have you read the book of Judges?
A church that is not being instructed by God;s word but instead doing right in their own eyes.
Judges has something to say about this.
The Enemy, The Adversary, Satan, was defeated
AT THE CROSS ✝️✝️✝️ by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself
ALL Praise and Honor are due HIM because our
Kinsman-Redeemer Bought and Brought the Victory
ONLY HE could accomplish that
And he will be until Jesus returns and puts in the pit for 1,000 years.
