I prefer the crowd singing the national anthem rather than having some singer giving an overly dramatic performance.
The national anthem was so moving. It was like everyone in the stadium was singing with pride.
USA! Never been a huge soccer fan but I have been watching the past week, very enjoyable drama and action.

Knockout rounds began on Sunday...Round of 32...There will be a winner in each game...Penalty shootout if necessary...There will be no "tie" games...

I’m very meh on soccer - but how cool would it be if the US team won the cup for our 250th? It would be like the 1980 Olympic hockey team. Probably even a bigger upset.
I have been watching all the games since the round of 32 began. Really great competition and I am enjoying the games.

I’ll say this - fun early at a tavern, but since we can’t hear anything and none of my group are particularly familiar?
It’s maddening when you think you see a goal and and don’t grasp why it didn’t count :-)
