Gene Simmons of KISS is one of the most recognizable faces in rock and roll, even when he is wearing sunglasses. He is also a supporter of President Trump.
During a recent interview with Bill O'Reilly, Simmons described losing work for refusing to badmouth Trump.
Simmons makes the point that even if people don't like Trump, they should still respect the office of the President of the United States. This is a point that seems lost on Democrats whenever a Republican is in office.

O’REILLY: “Can you tell us how you got iced on occasion?”
SIMMONS: “There were maybe two or three shows where somebody asked me on camera, locally as I’m doing interviews, what do you think of the president?”
“And I said I don’t have any problem getting the Kennedy Center awards at all. He’s the president of these United States and he was legally voted into power.”
“And if you don’t like the man, you can at least respect the presidency.”
“This idea of just banding about Trump this and Trump that... No! It’s President Trump.”
“Just like a doctor, I don’t like my doctor but he’s a doctor. Dr. so and so.”
“And that was not a popular sentiment.”
O’REILLY: “Did anybody confront you on it?”
SIMMONS: “Yes, I lost those two or three shows.”

In this clip from the same appearance, Simmons says he is a huge fan of the border wall.
It’s so refreshing to hear a celebrity entertainer speak in this way because it’s so rare.
Most celebs fall all over themselves to prove how far left they are.

Simmons has “fu*k you” money estimated to be in the hundreds of millions. I think he should take a lesson from better entertainers and never disclose anything political. Whatever side he takes, he could piss off half his fans. Yes, he has First Amendment rights, but no one is free from the consequences saying something stupid.

Remember back when such a heinous crime as mispronouncing Obama’s name would have you castigated as a racist, a hater, an extremist, a Nazi, etc, etc.
Anyone disrespecting Trump’s office tells me all I need to know about that person. It helps to separate the wheat from the chaff.

That is exactly what I think about when I hear Gene Simmons name. What a Karen.
I never cared for them. decades ago I tried to watch a Made for TV movie with them but it was so infantile and silly I turned it off after about 15 minutes.
Their target audience back in the beginning was 13 -15 year olds. It made them multi millionaires.................

It’s a rhetorical style. No of course Gene isn’t going to see it. But people thinking he’s in any way put upon might see it and reconsider. And honestly Gene is such an egomaniac and all around douchebag, even if he saw it, it wouldn’t matter. People could tell him they’re giving him gigs for exactly the reasons I said, and he still wouldn’t listen. Listening to other people just isn’t how Gene rolls.
