"A 12-year-old boy was killed when a suspect opened fire during a "brawl" that happened in Nashville's theater district on Sunday night.
Damarion Morehead was shot in the head when a fight involving "six to seven" people broke out at the intersection of Representative John Lewis Way and Deaderick Street, which is right next to the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.
Morehead was later pronounced dead at the hospital.....
The Metro Nashville Police Department arrested 24-year-old Devin Orr, who is the suspected shooter. Investigators were able to examine video from the incident.
In a statement, the Metro Nashville Police Department said, "During the brawl, Orr reached into his waistband to retrieve a handgun. At this point, persons involved in the fight began to run away. Shots were fired and Morehead fell to the ground."

We need to build a lot more prisons, and fill them to capacity. Better yet, Potter's Fields.
I disagree that we need more prisons. We just need to keep the handful causing problems in there instead of rotating them in and out rapidly.
Been watching YouTube arrest videos. I always thought there were maybe a few batcrap crazy screaming banshee Karens that cause problems out there. Nope. Potentially millions.
Establish more Joe Arpio style prisons in Arizona and Florida.
Clue number 1: Damarion
Clue number 2: intersection of Representative John Lewis Way and Deaderick Street,
Clue number 3: John Lewis was a congressman from Georgia. He was an agitator that led sit-ins and was a freedom rider.
At this point, I just don’t gaf about these individuals killing themselves.
I don’t want to say I cheer it on, but they’ve said the same thing over and over and over — we need more money, and support, then we’ll get it together.
It’s fatherlessness, it’s the 24/7 coddling of a toxic culture.
I taught these kids in a lock down facility, and they only complied through threat of force if they were remanded there by the DJJ. Once they got through with their sentancing, and switched to school board — they went back to their silly crap.
The majority of my kids fell back into their old ways. They died. They went to prison. Wash, rinse, repeat.
After the Austin Metcalf/Carmelo Anthony incident, I just don’t care.
These brats are feral. They’re entitled.
When will we finally get it through our heads. There’s no fixing them.
Suspect has been arrested and charged with murder. Could get the death penalty.
Let’s hope so.
Black lives don’t matter to democrats.
John Lewis Way. Is that like Martin Luther King Blvd?

This essay spells it out 100% clearly.
8 were killed in Chicago over the weekend, NOT ONE PEEP from black leaders, they could care less..why, simple, cant make money off of their deaths..now if one of them had been killed by a white cop or a white boy, then it would have been rioting and 24/7 coverage, but blacks killing blacks, eh no big deal, let the carnage continue. Black leaders keep on screaming about white supremacy, nah, its blacks killing their own people and wiping them out
We need to build a lot more prisons, and fill them to capacity.
Gallows cost a lot less and would eliminate the life sentence/perpetual care that clogs up the prisons.
I’m with you, ergo my comment about Potter’s Fields.
“I am a liberal. I believe that those of us who are able to produce abundance have a moral duty to provide basic food, shelter, and medical care for those who cannot care for themselves. I believe we have this duty even to those who can care for themselves but don’t.”
This person is a huge part of the problem. Society has NO duty to provide for those has who can provide for themselves but refuse to do it.
None whatsoever.
L
I agree completely. But I also agree 100% with his characterizations of his former clients. They illuminate the problem brilliantly.
MLK apparently referred to John Lewis as “the boy from Troy”
Speedy trials followed by speedier executions.
In a case like this where there is no possible doubt about guilt it doesn't have to take 10 years to get the guilty to the gallows.
Justice delayed is justice denied.
It takes so long to get a convicted murder to the executioner today that the surviving victim's relatives often die waiting for justice. That is truly justice denied.
And Texas too.
