Ministry of Health: Another suspected case of Ebola in Israel
Arutz Sheva ^ | 21/6/26

The Health Ministry announced on Sunday that it has received a report of another person suspected of having Ebola after returning from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The man, who returned to Israel two days ago, sought medical treatment after developing a fever, headache, and diarrhea.

The ministry stressed that the case remains only a suspected one at this stage. Officials said the required series of laboratory tests is already underway, with results expected in the coming days.

The patient is being treated in isolation in accordance with protocols for highly contagious infectious diseases. He has been transferred to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer, one of Israel's designated facilities for handling such cases.

At the same time, the Health Ministry is completing an epidemiological investigation to identify relevant contacts and examine possible links between the suspected cases. Once the investigation is complete, individuals deemed relevant based on the risk assessment will be contacted directly.

The ministry emphasized that anyone who is not contacted by the Health Ministry does not need to take any action at this time. Officials also reiterated that Ebola is not an airborne disease and is transmitted only through direct contact with a symptomatic patient or with infected blood, bodily fluids, or other secretions.

According to the ministry, health authorities have been carrying out extensive preparedness measures in recent months in response to Ebola outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda.

As part of those preparations, professional guidelines have been distributed to medical teams, protective equipment and specialized supplies have been procured, and early detection procedures have been established for travelers returning from affected areas.

The Health Ministry again urged the public to avoid non-essential travel to areas experiencing active Ebola outbreaks, particularly the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda.

A little Captain Trips, anyone? Why the hell every single country hasn’t instituted mandatory quarantine for anyone returning from that hellhole, for the entirety of the incubation period, is beyond me.

Why not put the whole region in quarantine. Afraid of being called a racist for not wanting your face to melt off the bones?

People won’t put up with it. Especially liberals...racism, don’t you know. You’d have to arrest them. Lots of times during the age of sail ships were regularly quarantined in port before anyone could leave them. Then there’s “important” people who can’t be bothered by such things. Can you imagine trying to quarantine some self-important liberal working for the State Department? During the Biden Administration they tried to quarantine a nurse who had been exposed and she refused. Just went home to her Texas neighborhood. When you contrast this with how everyone bent the knee during the Covid era it boggles the mind.

“During the Biden Administration they tried to quarantine a nurse who had been exposed and she refused. Just went home to her Texas neighborhood. “

It was 2014 under Obama , and Nina was not quarantined until the PPE that was issued her failed to protect her and she got a fever which she then went into quarantine and was treated with blood plasma from a American doctor who survived and donated it to her and the other nurse who’s PPE also failed her. They wore no full face respirators they hand N95 masks , face shields and glasses that were not air tight. It got in their eyes via droplets in the air that was confirmed by air sampling.

I knew Nina at the time she ended up winning millions double digit level in damages from the hospital for them not mandatory or even offering air tight full face respirators which is absolutely needed in late stage Ebola as the virus is airborne in that phase via cough droplets, and vomit cast off droplets too. They were workers and asked to monitor their temps and reduce if possible but not mandatory social interactions while treating Mr Duncan he has a name too. I was living in the M steets at the time and Nina was a regular at a local dive, we all were contacted and monitored by the CDC after she got symptoms the day after being at that little neighborhood hovel. The hospital believed the hype that at no point is Ebola airborne they were very VERY wrong.

I am a former NBC platoon commander as a 74A it was my first butter bar command before moving on to law enforcement and then Intel officer duties. So virology is kinda my jams.

Israeli companies do a TON of business in Africa. The largest avocado farm in the world outside of Mexico is an Israeli one in Kenya.

Are you less than six years old? I seem to remember a time when billions of people were required by their governments not to leave their houses for fear of spreading disease, and they supinely obeyed. We’re talking max perhaps a few hundred people and an outside incubation period of 21 days. Given the potential consequences I think mandatory quarantine would go down remarkably easy with the general public

I see the difference as between, say quarantining a plane full of passengers and quarantining the entire world. The plane passengers will experience outrage as they aren’t sick. Sickness happens to others. Besides, they have important things to do. Whereas quarantining the entire world is a global psychosis induced by formerly respected officers of formerly respected government organizations.
