I'm sorting through all the misinformation. According to this report, US agriculture uses 80 percent of America's freshwater, while data centers are well below 1 percent. It is likely China is a player in this anti-data center campaign, but more likely we are a victims of our own anti-capitalist stupidity. It's like we're against building factories in the 1800s.

I never thought much about data centers until I started working in one. They have room, are quiet (only the noise of air handling units outside of the pods), always cool (except in some of the pods where busy servers generate a lot of heat that the AC barely keeps up with. Incredibly clean. I find them rather relaxing.

I’m very familiar with invasive bamboo. It’s terrible on residential and agricultural property but I really don’t see what anyone thinks it’s going to do to an enormous data center.
