A new study published in Nature Communications challenges the assumption that only people with symptoms can spread mpox. The study found that many men who have sex with men (MSM) tested positive for mpox even though they had no symptoms. Researchers then confirmed that these men likely passed on mpox to partners without ever knowing they had the virus.

Most experts believed that mpox was primarily spread by people who had active symptoms like sores. However, contact tracers who tried to track outbreaks from one diagnosed patient to another had trouble finding connections between cases. This new study may explain why.

Anal intercourse is way at the lonely top. A distant second, IV drug use/abuse. An even more distant third is vaginal intercourse, for the woman of course. The male partner in vaginal has almost no risk at all.

Sure, but for example, consider 1 in 5 adults has herpes. Thats like one bullet in every revolver. And the xtrains of diseases are getting hardier/stronger to kill. And for straight folks, hpv is running wild and herpes is now no big deal. The gays now think hiv is no big deal and a badge of proof they’re a real gay. Like they earned a merit badge.
I guess it all depends on the type of herpes, some strains airborn, and nearly all adults pre-vax have had it myself included.
As far as I know you cannot kill any of the herpes viri once you are infected.
Another problem that wouldn’t exist without sleeping around.

Most people don't realize how "connected" the homosexual population is disease-wise. It really is a network of transmission that would shock most people. A unique new infection in the homo-population on the East coast can easily make it to the West coast in days, and then proliferate wherever it lands. It's horrifically disgusting.
But somehow it's a "right."

How irresponsible is it to engage in high-risk behavior with a stranger not knowing if you are infected with a disease that could be transmitted? These deviants get tested for STD's once every three months at most, and in between checkups they probably have several dozen hookups. That makes the checkups meaningless regarding "protecting others," and is mostly to catch a disease and treat it for self-preservation.
It is the ultimate selfish lifestyle.
