Dave Portnoy has bad blood with Taylor Swift and the rest of the “obnoxious” A-listers who were seated in celebrity row for Game 4 of the 2026 NBA Finals.
The Barstool Sports creator railed against Wednesday’s star-studded game between the New York Knicks and San Antonio Spurs in a new Instagram video, noting that he has “always hated New York sports teams” and their fans.
“I don’t know if it’s my personality or just me being a Boston fan, but … watching their fans celebrate in that arena — people who aren’t even basketball fans — like, just made my skin crawl on a level I can’t even describe,” the 49-year-old told his followers.
PUT ON BLAST Ben Stiller, Timothée Chalamet, Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld
Scooter Braun, I’ve hated him. Big Tits McGee [Sydney] Sweeney — where is she from? Hate her,”
Spike Lee, Nas and Tracy Morgan
Hailey Bieber ..... Mariska Hargitay
“Spike Lee, I hate him,”
He asked, “What percentage of Knicks celebrity fans would also show up in Lakers gear for Lakers celebrity row if the Lakers were in the Finals? I think it’s over 50 percent.”

I think it’s envy that the A-listers can have fun. Also, Dave Portnoy has the deadly sin of pride.

29 point comeback with only 14 minutes left in the game? Somebody in the betting world hit it real big and Jontay Porter wasn’t even playing. No way this game wasn’t fixed.
Ohhh...come now. An NBA game being fixed? Surely you jest.
Is this PORTNOY’S COMPLAINT?
Remember?
Do not accept a hamburger from this man.

about all i can take
I have been saying for weeks: I like the Knicks team. I am happy to see them win. But I despise NY sports fans. And even more, I despise the NY media fawning all over these guys.
She didn’t even take him to the game.

The wannabee consumerfans then line up to buy an identity and also gamble online. The other wannabees then follow along.
I think he is commenting on how fake and shallow and utterly predictable celebrities are.
I’d like to see any of them, the celebs, the players, the coaches, from either team act somewhat respectfully during the national anthem
“Taylor Swift’s net worth estimated at 2 billion. If the football guy doesn’t work out, call me.”
For her husband she needs him at least 100 million net worth and SDE/ super dick energy. Does sportsball clown Kelce qualify?
Sure she likes the Knicks. Sure sge does.
He’s right. These are fashion fans. They show up for the big city big games.
Sweeney before the Swifty any day of the week.
I hate the whole celebrity culture game. It gets really toxic when it starts feeding on itself. Most actors, singers and other entertainment don’t make big bucks. Many are just scraping by and working “real” jobs between gigs. The few who do make it big, however, have big blocks of downtime between gigs. When they’re working, they may be in a very intense bubble for three to six months, or more. It’s easy to drift into a pattern of elaborate rituals to waste time.
The best of them find better ways to unwind, but they do have the time and money to make spectacles of themselves. And sometimes they have agents, peers, and managers who tell them that the constant publicity is the way to sustain fan interest and extend careers.
I prefer the actors who disappear between projects. Many do. They may pop up at the occasional industry dog and pony show, but they otherwise hide out. There are celebrity heavy enclaves all over the place, and most aren’t gated communities or ultra expensive places, where the local culture is to leave the celebs alone. If the paparazzi showed up, the locals would probably shoot, shovel, and shut up. They value the peace and quiet too. They understand that many celebs like to be able to get a cup of coffee or walk the dog without being swarmed. They don’t want to attract the freakshow crowd.
I don’t like Spike, but he doesn’t belong on his list.
Through the Knicks tough years, Spike has been there.
Imagine if it was a Knicks-Lakers final.
