I am a female State Senator. I was in my district at a meet and greet for our new Police Chief. As I was walking around I touched a man’s beard, someone I knew, to say hello. It was a nano second. He filed a criminal complaint against me. That is where we are at today in America.
That is so low of him. I would bet he was cajoled into filing the complaint by your opposition.
It's as it ever was with that stripe of politicos though: My great grandfather ran for state senator in LA County in the late middle 1800s, an upstanding a man as ever was. He was smeared as a degenerate by the competition, and lost ... the deceiving pack of real degenerates won.
what’s good for the goose is good for the gander ... equality and all, ya know ...

Yep. I’m a retired public high school teacher. I know colleagues who would touch a student on the shoulder. Maybe to reassure them. Or maybe to gently guide them to where they needed to go.
I tried to tell those teachers not to do that. Don’t touch for any reason. Just don’t. You could be arrested for a battery. Or for something worse.
Fortunately, none of my colleagues got into trouble - as far as I know. Nevertheless, it was naive behavior.
why would you touch his beard?
I blame women for this. The metoo movement in particular recently has made accusations the same as convictions. You are immediately cancelled and its spread far and wide.
It has been going on for years towards men like we are all just raping machines ready to go off at any minute. ANY interaction with a female can lead to disaster.
omg.
I hope things turned out ok. I hope others know to walk a wide circle around him and away from him.
