‘Big Bang’ Star Mayim Bialik Reveals Nightmare Side Effects from Taking GLP-1 Weight Loss Drug
Breitbart ^ | June 09, 2026 | Warner Todd Huston

Posted on 06/09/2026 4:59:36 PM PDT by Red Badger

Mayim Bialik, star of The Big Bang Theory, has come forward to reveal the severe reaction she suffered for two scary weeks after taking one shot of the popular GLP-1 weight loss drug.

Bialik discussed her terrifying trauma in an article for The Free Press that she entitled, “My GLP-1 Nightmare.”

The 50-year-old actress told readers that she has struggled with her weight as an adult — especially as an actress in image-obsesses Hollywood. And at one point her doctor told her that GLP-1 “might help ease symptoms I’ve struggled with for basically my entire adult life.”

The one-time child star added that when she was 23, she was diagnosed with the autoimmune disorder Grave’s disease. Years later, she was also diagnosed with connective tissue disease, mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), Sjögren’s syndrome and dysautonomia.

She went on to say that she decided to take GLP-1 because several doctors told her “the drugs have shown promise in reducing the systemic inflammation that drives autoimmune conditions.”

She added that she had tried several other therapies and drugs to ease her various conditions, but none had worked. So trying GLP-1 was just one more step in the search to ease her symptoms. But instead of a “magic cure,” her life was turned upside down after taking the first dose of GLP-1.

“I took one shot of the lowest dose of a synthetic GLP-1, and to say I had an adverse reaction would be somewhat of an understatement,” she wrote. “Explosive, uncontrollable diarrhea. Sulfur burps so violent they left me afraid to open my mouth in public. Sneezing attacks every time I tried to eat or drink—which apparently has a name, snatiation.”

She is a beautiful woman just the way she is. Same with Kirtie Alley (yes I know deceased). Same with Kristen Johnson.

OK,

Better than her telling the world that she’s lesbian (no ones business anyhow), going after guns, lecturing us how we should use a single sheet of toilet tissue to wipe our ass as one singer did, making disparaging remarks about Trump, jumping on some anti-war bandwagon, or rambling on about climate change...

Who knows, she might even be telling the truth and this could be heart felt advice. Cool-

Maybe but she’s absolutely exaggerating about the severity of what she experienced being “common”.

A sip of water should not trigger uncontrollable diarrhea. Burps that made her afraid to open her mouth in public?

Nope.

Common effects are slight nausea and possibly constipation.

“Explosive, uncontrollable diarrhea. Sulfur burps so violent they left me afraid to open my mouth in public. Sneezing attacks every time I tried to eat or drink—which apparently has a name, snatiation.” “Cramping. Bloating. Full-body aching, as though I had the flu,” she continued. “And an inability to keep down even small sips of water without sprinting to the bathroom with yet more explosive diarrhea. More than three times, I didn’t make it.” She went on to say that she could not eat or drink and ended up having to be put on an IV so she didn’t totally dehydrate. “For the first two [days], I ate maybe one cup of rice and half a banana,” she said. “Also some broth, which promptly left my body. I couldn’t even keep electrolyte drinks down.” “Everything exited with a rage that left me weak and debilitated,” Bialik explained.

After careful consideration, I’ve decided against GLP-1s.

“ She is a beautiful woman just the way she is. Same with Kirstie Alley (yes I know deceased). Same with Kristen Johnson.”

Kirstie Alley was in one of the
Star Trek movies as a Vulcan.
She was so perfect for that role.
She was pretty thin then too.
At least I remember her being
thin in that movie.
Later, she did have a nice figure.

“Horrid side effects...”

They didn’t even get into the truly life threatening ones:

Severe Dehydration and Kidney Failure

Acute Pancreatitis

Intestinal Blockage

And since people who take this are not diabetic in most cases but react to the drug as a diabetic would, severe hypoglycemia

Tirzepatide deaths can result from drug complications, including serious stomach problems, gallbladder problems, kidney failure, pancreatitis and thyroid cancer. Tirzepatide is the active ingredient in Mounjaro® and Zepbound (An RO product).

Jardiance (empagliflozin) is linked to a rare but severe genital infection called necrotizing fasciitis of the perineum, or Fournier’s gangrene. The condition is a medical emergency that can lead to death if left untreated.

All weigfht loss GLP-1’s, of which don’t exist as they are medication for the control of type two diabetes, have their own and shared reactions. And if the drug works so the body gets below 30 on the check, it begins unconsciousness and brain cell damage.

They aren’t safe even for diabetics and require medical monitoring and multiple checks by the patient daily. But they are the only game in town.

“ Sneezing attacks every time I tried

I have this and I’ve never had a name for it.
It started when I was pregnant.
I would feel slightly nauseous,
sneeze may be 1 or 2 times and feel better.
Now I regularly sneeze after I eat a meal.
It even has a Wikipedia page.

So what was her excuse for looking the way she did before she started taking it?

Somewhat off-topic, and I’m glad she’s ok (she’s a great actress), but this reminds me of the GREATEST product review EVER.

She has always been a basket case. I hardly know anything about her outside of the occasional referenced post on FR. But last I heard about her she was laying in a bed covered with cat feces and other assorted filth crying about something.

I have a friend who took this on her doctor’s recommendation, and she was quite ill for a month (or more) after starting treatment. She’s a wonderful, beautiful Christian woman. She talked about the same side effects. She’s lost 80 pounds, and has Ozempic face.

I don’t care how thin I’d *like* to be. I won’t be taking this medication. She’s my real life example of what not to do.
