he DOJ’s Civil Rights Division has long been an exclusive preserve of Democrats, trending toward contemporary Democrats who are also Marxists and Islamists. For decades, the CRD ignored rights that did not support Democrat policies and desires. With the second Trump Administration, the CRD’s new Second Amendment section is now suing government entities that are infringing on Americans’ Second Amendment liberties, and Democrats are apoplectic, as Jennifer Mascia at The Trace explains:
The Civil Rights Division typically fights for the disempowered by enforcing federal anti-discrimination statutes. It was created in 1957 to ensure Black voting rights and school desegregation. Gun rights “have never been a focus,” said Megan Marks, a former attorney in the division who is now deputy director and managing editor of Red Line for Civil Rights, a nonprofit initiative that tracks the politicization of civil rights enforcement under President Donald Trump. …
Ah. Enforcement of civil rights is “politicized” when a Republican administration decides to not only enforce Democrat priorities, but also other, legitimate constitutional liberties Democrats want to suppress. Of course.
The DOJ’s suits come at a time when the Trump administration has departed from more traditional civil rights issues – discrimination against marginalized groups based on race, sex, disability, and religion – by pursuing conservative policies, reshaping DEI initiatives, investigating “reverse discrimination,” and suing universities over affirmative action practices. …
Many of which are illegal, but previously ignored.

“Experts?” Expert in what? Propaganda? Trying to obliterate the Second Amendment? Gun rights have never been under assault because Americans own a lot of guns? Apparently, “experts and veteran civil rights attorneys” live in some other country, some other reality. In this reality, gun rights are under constant assault, particularly in blue states and cities.

Gun grabbers beware.
This is another example of something that past Republican presidents didn’t do. The article is right. The DOJ Civil Rights division has been a Leftist hotbed for decades. I remember it taking some conservative controversial positions in the early Reagan Administration but nothing since. The Bushes were very comfortable with a liberal Civil Rights division. Yet another example of Republicans presiding over a massive liberal establishment. Bush would talk conservative sometimes but 90% of the government bureaucracy continued to push radical liberalism. Finally, Trump cleaned out several divisions and the liberal establishment - laughably called “experts” - are bent out of shape about it.
“ discrimination against marginalized groups”
The most marginalized and discriminated/against group is white, heterosexual, non Hispanic, Christian men.
There are institutionalized and system practices throughout all layers of government and industry to make things harder for them.

You know it’s a fake media narrative when “experts say” is planted somewhere in the narrative. I call it fact by expert edict. The NY Times is king of “experts say” proclamations.
Unfortunately.
Unfortunately.
“ You know it’s a fake media narrative when “experts say” is planted somewhere in the narrative”
Yep. And the fake “nonprofit initiative that tracks the politicization of civil rights enforcement”.
Rush used to call that a “name and a fax machine” or some such.
Now it’s an “name and website” but same idea. All operating out of some central office. The organization doesn’t actually exist except to provide media quotes.
“We’ve never forgiven Mr. Lincoln and his d**n army of Republicans from taking away our slaves. We want them back, one way or another.”
Rush used to call that a “name and a fax machine” or some such. lol
The NY Times no longer even bothers with a name which they now distill into “some experts say”...without mentioning the overwhelming majority of “experts” say their one guy is full of crap.
That’s the problem right there: they shouldn’t be picking sides. By definition, that’s discrimination.
Oh they named “experts” — the “Red Line for Civil Rights” founded by two fired DOJ employees who oppose non-discriminatory enforcement of discrimination laws.
Enforcing the law fairly is “politicization”, according to these bigots.

What part of “shall not be infringed” do they not understand?!
How else does one overcome the white privilege “some experts”
say all white folks are afflicted with other than offsetting that privilege by saddling them with penalty points in enforcement of equal protection? Isn’t that how we have come to be a nation where George Floyd is celebrated while Daniel Penny is prosecuted.
Wouldn’t it be nice if the 10th Amendment were enforced?
Blacks can now vote freely. It's time to move on from 1957.
When the left says civil rights what they mean is a racial spoils system.
The DOJ’s Civil Rights Division is another antiquated, far-leftist office which should be shut down, pronto. It has done enough damage.
