Carolina scored 3 goals in a mere 39 seconds.

I asked AI what the record is….

In the NHL, the fastest three goals scored by the same team is 23 seconds, a record set in the playoffs by the Toronto Maple Leafs against the Atlanta Flames in Game 2 of their 1979 series.

The fastest three goals by a single team in the regular season is 21 seconds, famously scored by the Chicago Blackhawks against the New York Rangers in March 1952.

If you are curious, the all-time individual NHL record for the fastest three goals by one player (a natural hat trick) is 21 seconds, set by Chicago’s Bill Mosienko in that exact same 1952 game.

Check the last stat in bold…

Wow!

So, a player had the fastest hat trick in NHL finals history, and you don’t think that rates?

This is the 46th year in a row that a teammate of Jaromir Jagr has been in the Stanley Cup. That is crazy. This year it's Rasmus Andersson. And, yes, that goes back 10 years before he joined the league.

Jagr stopped playing in the NHL in 2018, but he still plays pro hockey on his team in Czech Republic.
