The biggest sneaker free agent in basketball history didn't sign with Nike or Adidas.
Golden State Warriors' Steph Curry just signed with a Chinese brand.
After mutually parting ways with Under Armour in 2025 (corrected) and ending a 13-year partnership (with the Baltimore sportswear company), the four-time NBA champion has signed a massive 10-year deal with Chinese sportswear giant Li-Ning.

It's been bad for Kevin Plank after losing the SEC to Nike, now he loses his client to the CCP.
China owns the NBA (Wilson basketball is ANTA) and baseball (Louisville Slugger is also ANTA).
The power of the CCP to influence. After Wes Moore destroyed a company by sitting on a Board of Directors by rejecting Kevin Plank's push to work with President Trump on bringing back jobs in the states, what happens?
But we are seeing when ANTA Sports replaced Berkshire Hathaway as the NBA's ball supplier, something's a miss.
The NBA is only marginally more entertaining than the WNBA. As soccer gains traction in the US, the NBA looks to be impacted most.
What is ANTA?
“As soccer gains traction in the US”
They have Soccer nets down the street at the grade school not goalposts. A very passive aggressive game Soccer.
Chinese sportswear manufacturer:
Jack Wolfskin
Anta
Wilson
Louisville Dlugger
DeMarini
Puma (largest shareholder)

It seems that in places soccer rules, the culture is much different than ours. I doubt there’s a correlation, but it is interesting to note.
As always, money talks. Money doesn’t just talk. Money tells players what to say and can tell them to shut up about certain things too. Every once in a while, a player criticizes China and it doesn’t go so well (remember Enes Kanter?) He gets told to shut up real quick and if he doesn’t, bye-bye. Its always good to remember this when players start mouthing off about the latest Woke Social Justice cause célèbres.
How does this tie the NBA to China, (not that I’m an NBA fan)?
Tractor is directly linked to all the foreigners in the country and more coming.
And now he's a billionaire.
I’d rather watch Caitlin Clark play basketball.
Raising questions? Questions were raised years ago and the answers were the NBA caters to the Chicoms for $$.
